Well if I add up all the games, new PC, laptop, Ipad2, new cell phone, a new PS3, Move controllers, keyboard, headset, and a new Bravia TV that I use almost exclusively for gaming, then I've spent well over $6000 this year on games and game related items. The games alone are easily over $1000 though.
But $5k+ for just games in one year is a lot... unless you're rich of course.
I have yet to download 3.0, but judging from what I've been reading about it, it seems the biggest issue for people is the font size increase, wierd friends list graphics, and there are ads for the PSN Store?
I can understand others not liking the new update, but to call for someone to be fired is pretty outrageous, imo. The PSN is free and anyone who complains so quickly about new additions to the XMB seems to just be either a spoiled brat who will cry over anything they feel ...

In regards to x-chat, it would be a good feature to have, but not a deal-breaker for me personally.
I remember back when you played multiplayer and you played against other players in the same room. Split-screen was the sh*t! It's unfortunate that in this generation, multiplayer is almost exclusively online multiplayer.
In those days, if you wanted to chat with someone, you just started talking because the person was sitting right next to you. If you wanted to play separate...

I feel that if an artist(and imo game designers are artists) wants to create something that may be objectionable to others, they have that right. If someone wants to sell it, it is up to the consumers to decide if they want to participate.
It is not up to others to censor art just because they are offended by it. Part of being a free society is free speech.

Thanks i'll try that. It's def the demo and not my system. When I start the demo, after I see the "Sony" label, all I get is silence.
Never had this happen before.
Just dwnloaded the Infamous demo and there's NO SOUND. It's not my PS3 because everything else works fine. I tried turning the volume way up but still nothing.
Anyone else having this problem? And can anyone suggest what I should do or where I can report the problem?

The game will be harder than playing the songs for real.
I've been playing Metallica on guitar for over 15 years. Not to say their music is all easy, but the GH video games are much harder to master than the real thing.
I just hope more kids today are learning how to play real instruments instead of just playing a guitar game.

I don't see anything racist in this game. It's a work of fiction, plain and simple.
And to anyone who says that Americans are racist, there are still lingering racial problems in America, just like in many other parts of the world. But we did just vote in our first black president, and that should speak volumes about how far this country has come.
I don't own a 360, but if this happened to me, i'd just print out the label and send it myself. I think it's good that MS gives people the option. Had the original story been true, in my opinion it would've been a bad decision to force people to supply their own boxes/shipping.

I played all weekend and didn't have any difficulty getting used to the controls, nor do i feel they need to be changed. It just feels like, as the devs have said, it adds weight to your character. To me, it adds realism. Could a real person with potentially a hundred pounds of gear and a heavy weapon really spin around 360 degrees as fast as in some other games? Could the same person run at full speed up a staircase or across a large expanse without getting a bit tired and have to slow down?...
I never understood why it's being released on Friday instead of the usual Tuesday.

Should they scrap it altogether? No, because there are obviously people who enjoy it.
But I do agree that after all the time and money spent on developing Home, it is a bit disappointing for what there actually is. And yes I know it's still in beta. I just think that Sony put too many eggs in one basket with Home and missed many other opportunities in the process.
On the other hand, it's just the beginning of Home and there's always room for improvement.
I've been looking forward to this game since the the day they first announced it. Glad to see not only is it still in development, but it's being improved upon.
