You're right. It's a low budget, unfinished, game that's being sold as full price. It makes Dead Island look like something from the far flung future.
Minecraft can get away with having basic graphics as they're heavily stylised. 7 Days to Die's graphics are both basic and horrible; there's no artistic flare whatsoever.
Wouldn't be surprised to see it on Plus\GWG within 12 months.
It's on PS4 too, even though Sony doesn't allow Early Access.

Their quality of footage is good. Way above standard, in fact. The hosts soon grate however, using the same quips again and again. "I really had a super fun time with this one"
That image looks fake, Bioshock Infinite has already been free and Lichdom: Battlemage is only around a month old. Giving that away for free would be a huge blow to those who bought it at launch. It also arrived to bad reviews - Eurogamer said the framerate is atrocious - and so I'd like to think MS wouldn't give that away for free due to quality reasons.
The use of the word "drop" in the headline makes it sounds like the retail release has been cancelled. Odd choice of words.
March's freebies are apparently Sherlock, Lords of the Fallen, Supreme Commander 2 and Borderlands.

I'd argue that it's a bit of a grey area. Amazon published the wrong product description, but that could have been because Activision didn't release details of the Wii iteration until it launched. Those who pre-ordered wouldn't have known until they received the game.
