Nintendo's conference this year got pretty close to Sony's conference back in 2006 with all the giant enemy crab and ridge racer stuff.
consoles will have many MMOs but I agree with the others that the PS3 has the upper hand in exclusive MMOs.

The team making this game made age of empires 3 which is one of my favorite strategy games but they haven't done any of those on consoles before have they?

It's just driven by MS's hype machine unlike otehr franchises that are popular because they are good.
Omega the second halo had an increase in sales because the install base of the first xbox obviously grew with time and the xbox360 had a year to itself to develop a huge install base.
HERE IS THE THING, MGS4 and final fantasy have bigger and more unique storylines and the devs know how to continue that storyline.
the PS3 is 400 bucks. It has better games than the wii and better upcoming games. All that plus it can play movies.
and I actually want Dc universe to be better but Champions Online might be better in the end.
The developers have had experience with other super hero MMOs before.

Resistance 2, Litlebigplanet, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Infamous,and Final Fantasy versus 13.
All of these are promising titles. The only thing the xbox360 has is new halo(AGAIN) and gears of war 2. Along with titles we haven't heard a word from in 2009 like Alan Wake and........ mass effect 2. That's it.
