Prey 2 is the one I was looking forward to the most on this list. For titles not on the list: Titan, Highlander, Star Wars 1313, and The Getaway.

There was never going to be a Prey 2 with Tommy. Both times the game was going to be more of an intergalactic bounty hunter type game that wouldn't have had anything to do with the first one.

If you're seriously playing those games with an over priced game pad, you probably shouldn't even be taking part in this conversation.

I say that knowing full well that I am spending $250 (thank you employee discount!) on a racing wheel, but still...

I'm not sure what you mean by "Windows 10 exclusive" games. The majority of games releasing on PC exclusively (and I mean PC, not just Windows 10. I challenge anyone to find me a PC developer that will make a game exclusive to one version of Windows) are releasing that way because they are too much for a console to handle or they don't translate very well to a gamepad control layout. The only games that will come out on PC for Windows 10 only will be the Xbox titles Micro...

If it comes to the PC I'm going to be kind of pissed. I mean, I'll be amazingly happy, don't get me wrong, but I'll be pissed. I bought an XB1 last month along with Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 2, and just finally sold off my Logitech G27 and bought a Logitech G920 after weeks of debating between that and the G29 for my PS4. If they bring Forza to the PC, I would have been able to get the G29 and play Driveclub and be ready for the next Gran Turismo AND be able to use it with ...

I was going to say the same thing. There were some frame rate drops here and there, but nothing that makes the game unplayable. Not sure what people expect when they are running 3+ year old hardware in a locked down system. It does what it needs to, but neither console can perform miracles.

I ended up preordering Mad Max for my PS4 simply because I need more games to play on it. My son is only 9 months old, so there are plenty of times when I need to be in the living room watching him instead of in the office where he has no toys. But I feel your pain with Arkham Knight. Only reason I was able to finish it on my PC was sheer brute force. If my machine had been of lesser stock, I'd be waiting for that damn patch as well. Thankfully that was Rocksteady's fault, not WB...

And yet, awesomely enough, you can play one game, and then turn around later on and pick up the game you decided to wait on! It's not like Avalanche are going anywhere if Mad Max doesn't sell well, and if it has a late jump in sales from all of the people who decided not to get it when they picked up Metal Gear, they'll still consider those sales when it comes time to put it away or make it a franchise.

And personally, I'm glad they decided to release it now....

And more than likely it won't enjoy many mods for long. Every Bethesda game since Oblivion has seen the release of a script extender. These are 3rd party programs designed to work alongside the game to give more freedom in mod development and make for more robust scripts to be used that the game couldn't handle by itself. As soon as the script extender for Fallout 4 is released, any mod that requires it to work will not work on the console versions simply because the consoles can&#...

@DanzoSAMA

No. Just no. They have already said that they will work on bringing mods to the PS4 as well. It just depends on if Sony allows it, which they are pretty sure will not be an issue.

@Valenka

No, he said "It'll be 1080p on everything" and then confirmed it would be 30fps and not 60. Anyone who has ever played a PC game knows this is already excluding the PC, simply because every PC game this century has the ability to change the resolution. They aren't going to lock it to 1080 for the PC, which means they aren't going to lock it to 30fps either. By "everything" he clearly means consoles, and I guarantee he'll either ...

That's right up until the FOSE, or whatever the first script extender is called, gets released, at which point mods won't work and it won't matter. Granted, basic mods will still work, but most of the extensive stuff won't. I've even heard talk from a few of my old modding buddies that they'll make sure their mods require the script extender just to troll console players. Not that I agree with the practice, as I think console players should at least get a feel for w...

Yes. Considering the fact that every game has to be developed ON a PC, why not develop FOR a PC first.

@Crimzon's first comment:

Yes, there are a lot of sequels coming out, but CoD is a yearly franchise that barely changes. Most of the games he mentioned get a break in between releases. Game developers are always going to fall back on established properties, but there is a difference between releasing a new game in your franchise once every 3-4 years, and releasing a game every year.

That said, I'm a bit of a hypocrite seeing how I'm extremely ex...

Actually, they're both right. The PS4 and XB1 do not support the wheel, but it has nothing to do with drivers. As esemce said, it all comes down to the security chip that is required for high-polling devices (and in the XB1's case, certain hardware protocols). The driver issue is a simple matter to resolve, and would be resolved already if not for the lack of a security chip.

I keep annoying Logitech's customer service with update requests for when a security c...

The Pay What You Want option is there for people who don't want to charge anything but instead want to give people a chance to donate. Maybe YOU should read the article. This doesn't change the fact that mod creators can still charge whatever they want for a mod.

Also, 25% is NOT way more than they would make working for a game developer. You really need to get a clue and stop riding so hard on this "everyone deserves to be paid for their fan-made content"...

Mods ARE one of the reasons PC is better. PAID MODS however, are not. That's just DLC made by third parties.

3287d ago 8 agree0 disagreeView comment

Any modder who expects to be paid for his or her work should not be making mods in the first place. Donations I can handle, but if a modder is good enough to sell his work, he should be getting a job with a game developer. Leave fan made mods in the hands of fans who just want to add to the game, not greedy little pricks who think they should be allowed to make money off the hard work of others.

@Nio-Nai

You are so far off the mark. The modding community is about creating and sharing content. The good modders use those mods as their portfolio to get hired by developers. Look at Desert Combat, the mod for BF 1942. Completely free mod, one of the highest (if not THE highest) played mods ever. Most of that team was hired by DICE and was put to work making BF2. One of my friends used to make custom maps and models for Counter-Strike, he now works for Rockstar. Cha...

That has got to be the lamest excuse for a misspelling I've ever heard. You have the time to copy and paste on your phone, but not type 6 letters? Just admit you didn't know the character's name was misspelled.
