Warzone will continue to operate same on both. It's not in their best interest to stop supporting the game, much like how they continued to support Minecraft, new games in the series will most likely become exclusive though.

It also sold more on Playstation. If we're going by what they are doing with Bathesda (exclusive games going forward) why is it considered amazing news to take the franchise away from a certain platform?

This won't create more games or better games, all it does is take the game that would have been on Xbox already and removes them from a significant amount of gamers.

Why is that considered amazing news?

Didn't have this on my 2022 bingo card.

Which mechanics are you reffering to? Other than both games being open world, they don't share a lot as far as game mechanics go.

Ratchet & Clank is by far closer to Sunset Overdrive than Sunset Overdrive is to Spider-Man.

EDIT: I think Lindsay is talking about the spirit and the tone of the game. Just that fun nature that Insomniac games tend to have.

"The Xbox Game Pass is the future of gaming for Microsoft" would have been the more appropriate title for what the author was trying to say.

The way it's worded as it is, it just makes it sound like Game Pass will be the future for ALL gaming, which is just silly.

To claim it wouldn't exist is a bit silly, developers continue to learn and evolve with each game they create. This is no different, Sunset Overdrive used a lot of mechanics already present in Ratchet & Clank games.

I would love to see a Sunset Overdrive release on Playstation 5 though, it seems like a fun game. The new Suicide Squad game seems to be trying to tap into some of that energy as well.

That's great and all but it's only been about 6 months, they really didn't have to tease an easter egg so soon.

There's a big difference between someone stumbling on an easter egg and someone trying to purposefully find it knowing it's there.

Feel like they could have just waited and if nobody found it by their next game, perhaps tease it shortly before that comes out.

Sony started 2022 with a bang!

New colours, PSVR2 and Horizon VR, God of War and we are seeing new steps toward the new subscription service and emulation.

It's hard not to get excited for Playstation.

There is literally "new" in both the title and the description.

Steam doesn't track what you play?

It's a matter of perspective really. The games before them weren't really longer. Video game focus turned more towards story based games and suddenly you had to let people complete the games.

The first Uncharted was pretty short but depending on how you played it, it could last you 6 hours if you just went straight through the story or 12 hours if you stopped to collect the treasure along the way and looked at every nook and cranny to find everything.

That's a fair point, at the end of the day we are all different and our lives impact what we are looking to get from games quite a bit.

I'm still trying to get through a lot of my backlog and find that I have less free time than before these days due to other interests. So it usually feels nice to finish a quick game before jumping into something longer again.

That's why I don't think there is one easy answer here. Game length is also on...

Not something to boast about, quality should be the only thing that matters. I generally try to mix it up between long and short games, they both have their benefits.

Artificialy extending the game length always makes me feel like the developer is wasting my precious free time though.

I don't think I've ever bought a game with this mindset.
You can always go back and replay a game to get the same effect. Playing a 10hr good game twice is preferred over playing a 10hr game with additional 10hrs of boring side quests and/or fetch quests.

Gaming is not that expensive these days if you're not buying games on release day. Value proposition is also one of those thing that you don't have to worry about if you have decent expendable inco...

There's not a lot of studios that don't have budget constraints, he just didn't seem to know how to deal with them.

The game could have probably benefitted from a few more months from what I hear. I'll be giving it a go later on this year most likely so I can see for myself what it's all about. There is too much mixed narrative out there to get a clear picture.

Would suggest this guy stops digging a hole though, he comes off worse an...

I would say writing was quite forgettable as I'm trying to recall of any actual story beats and not having a lot of success. I don't remember the older Tomb Raider games having amazing story either though, might be a case of unrealistic expectations. Story related complaints are fine but surely the second group can find a alot of material out there to pleasure themselves to.

I've only played the first one so far and enjoyed it quite a bit. Didn't realize her being a grounded character got so many people upset.
