They deserve this for taking the big (though risky) step forward with PS3 pricing. Keep the AAA titles coming, and it will only get better! Uncharted 2/ Demon' Souls/ GT5/ Ratchet...oh man! MAG, WKC right away next year...plus...
FINAL FANTASY XIII AND XIV IN 2010!
Not to get all fanboyish, but damn Sony's kicking some Boxass!
But not a blind Sony fanboy. Look, we know this game has been out since holiday 2008 in Japan. Screens don't cut it. The vids from overseas make this look like FFXII and the reviews rip it for a bad story, inconsistent online, crumby number balance and pacing. 29/40 from famitsu, 7/10 from RPGfan...straight up, Level 5 and Sony have work to do. This is no masterpiece yet, that delay better include a good amount of fixes for audiences outside of casual-gamer Japan.
flip flop. It wasn't just 360 fans bashing inFAMOUS's first week. Sorry, but 175k > 70k
Also, to the idiot saying inFAMOUS sold identical day to day this month...seriously, look at the BIG picture. That 190k + comes AFTER a first week of 175k, or an average of 25k a day. Don't even start (I'm looking at you Jack-o Nick avatar!)
If this game DOES suck (doubt it) blame Level 5, not Square-Enix. You know, your beloved WKC-FF-Killer-PS3-Ownage dev who takes 1 1/2 years to localize a game (blame Sony for that too).
Look, I'm looking forward to both DQIX and WKC as much as anyone, but if the game isn't THAT good, it isn't totally Square's fault.
but people need to take FFVI's influence on the game more seriously when considering the greatest RPG of all time. Yes, VII blew up the genre, but alot of what VII did in terms of presentation, story and atmosphere was created in FFVI, a game alot of other people consider the greatest RPG of all time.
I honestly believe, despite all of it's greatness, VII is a bit overrated. Still, I've played and beat it a good 10-15 times haha.
Edge Magazine is to the 360 as Gamepro is to the PS3.
To say Edge are hardcore 360 fanboys is a serious understatement. Every console has this sorta favorite website issues, even Wii. The difference with Wii is that it gets hardcore overscoring from it's branded media sources, such as Nintendo Power. It worked the same way during the 64 vs PSX days, back when Gamepro preferred Nintendo (anyone remember that bs?)
For the record, I don't think The Conduit is a grea...
Now if only this game existed in english...
such as Haze and Lair that dissapeared off the planet due to delays, this one is actually turning out good!
Never delayed? How many trailers listed 2008 at the end of them? How many hints did motherh give on the message board during 2007 that the game may have been ready for THAT holiday! No firm release date? Doesn't mean it wasn't pushed back.
So, "for those of us that played Killzone 2", I followed the damn thing for a long time, beat it single player, was pissed there was no co-op (damn insult to FPS gamers) and dragged through the multiplayer and it's first expansion o...
at the massive level of fanboyism hitting this article. The Sony fans spewing the same crap about PC/360 multi/exclusive issues, the 360 fans coming back with the same tired arguements involving insecurities and sales, and Nasim hitting the scene with account #4,568,239 to scream lies only to be replied to with more lies from the m$ fanboys.
Reading these replies...man, gamers can be really pathetic. Now, that out of the way, good lists for both 360 and PS3, though both are fla...
I'm not getting excited for ANYTHING in the way of technical specs or hype until I see some actual product. Killzone 2 suckered me in with a fake trailer and a whole lotta developer gloating. Then, in 2007, I finally saw game footage at E3 and got to play the game...in late Feb 2009. Yay! And what did I get? An incredible looking game with amazing physics...but downright boring MP and a short campaign that was good, but didn't feel right in terms of scale for the scope of the situation.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, hell, if EB Games/Gamestop is all sold out in my town a week prior to release, say hello to Wal-Mart at some time during the week. Sh!t, friggin psychos ;p
That said, other than exclusive 360 owners/fanboys, WHO THE HELL WOULD GET THE 360 VERSION OF THIS? If you have both consoles, and if no other "exclusive DLC" or Ghostbuster-esque multiplat issues arise, why would you take a 4-5 disc copy on a console known for scratching discs over one blu-ray? This isn't ...
Atleast it won't be another SOCOM: Confrontation upon release.
Also, WTF to all the delays this gen. Killzone 2, Alan Wake, FFXIII, etc...
to the mockery!
That'll hold me just fine. Take your time with Fat Princess guys. Make it perfect.
But the red flag remains pitched. Watching trailers for this, I get excited but then have this sour feeling in my belly involving these thoughts:
1) Why is this not on next-gen consoles seeing as though scale seems to be a big part of the game (in other words, quick cash cow that looks cool)
2) Controls. Especially invovling the sprite characters.
3) Lack of cohesive flow/ pacing. Square screws this up when a game isn't purely an RPG (The Bouncer,...
and as a worldwide tally, Japan's PS3-ownage means nothing. YAY!
You're not detecting the sarcasim in my comment, are you?
To warrant putting down my Halo 3. ODST may take some heat off the MP for Halo 3 for a while, but aside from Firefight, I'm not seeing a whole lot here to ignore master chief...
