Skies of Arcadia is a great RPG. It was lighthearted and fun, while still having a deep story. I still have the original, but would be nice to see it come out for PSN/Live.

Sadly, it seems that PC games (multi-plat ones, anyway) are starting to cost the standard console price of $59.99. However, PC games do tend to have more deals and drop in price more quickly (usually because they don't sell quite as well).

Unless you are pirating games (which, granted, is far easier on PC), the cost-per-game argument is only semi-valid.

We've all been asking thing for many years now, and sadly he still has the job.

Instead of killing someone, how about running into a crowded area and shooting yourself in the head with a gun full of blanks and yell "Persona!" That would show true dedication. =P

Apart from Dark Cloud 3, this was probably my most anticipated announcement (aside from some much less likely releases).

The first game was pretty good, but I think Dark Cloud 2 might be the best sequel ever made, well...that's a loaded statement considering all the sequels there are, but it was definitely a major upgrade.

Best ps2 RPG in my opinion. Such a shame they haven't made a Dark Cloud 3 yet. Maybe ps4 (or Vita, but would prefer a console release).

The first game, while pretty good, was definitely repetitive.

I take it you didn't play the sequel though. It is, in my mind, the best RPG on the ps2, which is saying a lot (with DQ8, Persona 3 and 4, FFX, etc.). It kept the more interesting level/weapon build system (with positive tweaking), and vastly upgraded the story, graphics (definitely one of the best looking ps2 games) and a TON of mini-games (basically an entire game of golf, for one). The game takes well o...

I think the game looks fun. The power-ups are obviously the highlights, along with level interaction. I'm sure the number of characters will go way up, and I'm sure the levels will have great variety. Those things, and having the fun mini-game/playthrough solo stuff like SSB will make or break the longevity of the game.

The whole no auto-regen life, low amounts of ammo, having to switch items in your backpack. It's almost oldschool survival, which is awesome. The graphics and brutal realism are incredible. I guess we shouldn't really be surprised, but it looks amazing from what we've seen.

When the video for this first started, I thought "meh." I like the AC series, but not a HUGE fan or anything. This gameplay, however, was incredibly intense and looks very good. I have to say, I am now very much interested in the game, especially if this is a decent chunk of what the game is about.

Eh, Diablo 3 isn't exactly a striking example of amazing graphics. The game looks ok, but unless their engine for the game just didn't transfer to consoles, there is no reason for a port (if there is one) to look much different from a PC version, save resolution. PS3/360 should be able to at least manage near full AA/etc. 720p 60fps on this game. Not that I care, definitely going for the PC version myself.

Eh, this is about role-playing board games. Not sure what it has to do with videogames. (To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure if the news is required to be about video games specifically, not an issue that comes up very often. :P )

I've never heard of the company, so at first when I read "the most consistently amazing game publisher on the market" I thought this writer is an idiot. Maybe he's right about board games, since I wouldn't know.

While I enjoyed the gameplay of MGS4 more, I enjoyed the story and especially the ending of MGS3 more (both great games). The whole ending from the fight with the Boss till the salute, it was amazing and probably one of the most emotional moments in a game ever. While it was sad, I guess that's not what made it so emotional, so maybe it doesn't belong on the list. The MGS4 part where Otacon is talking about Snake's hard life is pretty darn sad.

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure how interesting a game would be if the main protagonist (you, the player) is sitting on a bench with a tub of popcorn watching the most important characters do their thing.

Yes, that's an exaggeration, but the entire point of most storylines in games (of all genres) is to give you the perspective of the person most involved in that storyline. Same goes for books and movies the majority of the time.

I wouldn't doubt D3 coming to consoles, or not. Either way wouldn't be a surprise to me. It's not like the Diablo series is incredibly complex or a graphical powerhouse to make it impossible to come to the ps3 or 360 though. There are many reasons why the game will or won't come to consoles, but I doubt the main reason will be that it's too difficult to port over.

Completely agree with Nier. It's one of the best soundtracks in gaming history. Most people haven't heard it, which probably includes the woman (I'm guessing with the name Miss M) that made this list, since all the games on it are VERY mainstream and popular.

Yeah, Metro takes great pictures, but for every amazing pic, you can take another one that's borderline ugly.

It wasn't a very polished game and the gameplay was very basic. It was pretty good, but good screenshot material was it's only major strong point.

Guessing you haven't played the game.

The voice acting is unprecedented in scope and quality. There has never been a game with more voice acting, and I've only encountered maybe a couple out of hundreds of voices that weren't spot-on.

Also, claiming a game is inadequate and subpar based on a few news articles (which ALWAYS only focus on negative), and ignoring the many many praise articles/reviews is silly and shortsighted, especially if you have...

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that the footage will be from in-game. Think it was made clear because it was thought that a lot of people would question whether it was or not. Whether it's an in-game engine cutscene (like Uncharted) or actual gameplay footage is yet to be determined though.

You are taking the phrase "exclusive you won't believe" too literal.

Almost 100% guaranteed to be hype in the sense that they mean "a ps3 exclusive that looks so great you won't believe your eyes" or "a new ps3 exclusive so great you won't believe it."

It's very unlikely they mean the game will be something so off the wall or unexpected that you would never think of it.

Lot of games have screwed up audio with the Dolphin, and audio is a major part of this game (and most others). I bought Xenoblade Chronicles and also tried it on the PC. While I got fine fps, the audio was completely screwed up in comparison. While I haven't played with the Dolphin a lot, I haven't found in the few games I've tried that the audio is up to snuff. Not that this is a new thing, as audio is almost always the last thing emulators get perfect (took years for the SNE...
