I'm pretty sure NSMBW will easily beat PS3's MW2 before the end of January. Alias, I wouldn't be surprised if it beats the 360's version, although this is less likely.
I even agree that MW2 is overrated and that, at best, it is a good but not exceptional game that is getting a free pass by the still immature game press. However, this piece is very uneven. There are some good arguments here and there but there is too much trolling in the text.
The hardware alone is meaningless. They shouldn't have announced it until they have some nice software to show its possibilities.
Mad World sold well, for a ultra-violent game made in B&W. It was made for a niche market, you should know.
No More Heroes sold much better than Mad World (it is even getting a sequel), as a weird looking ultra-violent game in colour.
Zack & Wiki was poorly marketed by Capcom. Superficially, it looks like a kids' title but it is too complex for kids.
Dead Space was not announced enough and there is too many rail shooters in the market.

The Wii is doing fine. The novelty is gone and thus sales have dropped somewhat, whereas the PS3 finally reach an affordability level that reflects in its own sales. However, the Wii is so ahead of the hd consoles that can still lead the sales. If anything, the Wii is being a victim of its previous success. It is still much ahead of the competition and some morons are still talking about it being a fad or a bubble.
Nintendo titles are very high quality and sell pretty well on the...
I found more interesting the author's analysis of MW2 under the eyes of a single player campaign gamer. He states the game deserves something in between a six and seven. Even that would be too much in my opinion. As others pointed out, the story is not coherent and the campaign level design is rather weak. Considering how short the game is, six is probably the top for MW2. It is unfortunate that online multiplayer shooters became so popular, as it is obviously a cheaper development path than ...
Impressive how a reviewer can be so precise to state this game is one centesimal point from perfection :). Numerical scores can only be regarded as a joke.
As I said before the rumour is too good to be true, especially the trade in your used Wii. That said, the specs seems to be something I would expect from a Wii Plus, although I wouldn't expect the blu-ray player.
My only problem with this rumor is that it is too good to be true.
Just another purposely polemical article with the intend of attracting hits. Disgusting.
I'm definitely not excited with the perspective of a console exclusively based in downloads. I brought a few stinkers here and there. However, I could sell most of them in the used market -- something I would really like to do with some of my iPhone games.
I have a Wii and a PS3 and I enjoy both of them a lot. Fact is I spend more money with the Wii, in which gameplay based titles have more longevity than with the PS3, in which most titles are story driven and thus perfectly playable in a weekend rent (I dislike to play shooting games online). Those are two very different approaches to gaming. Both are valid and worthy so there is no reason to choose one over the other. Regarding controls, I like movements -- but this is a question of taste -- ...
It seems EA Sports finally decided a direction to FIFA Wii. Unfortunately, it is not a direction I care about. Anyway, FIFA is really trailing PES in the Wii and I guess they decided to differentiate even more to avoid competition.
Some criticisms seems to be valid, but not really significant. Still, the whole article appears to me as click fishing material, only to gather more attention to the original site.
Yes, it is within our expectations. If only Sony could say anything else... The only reliable information we can take from this statement is that is not selling above their expectation.
Sony, Sony, where is touchscreen and battery size in that comparison?
I played the game and I like it a lot. I don't have a problem with the graphics, they are good -- although not excellent -- and the controls are tight. The game shines in its single player campaign, which is funny and nicely paced. There are several well designed levels, interesting bosses, a good amount of updates to be chosen -- you don't have resources to buy all of them -- and several characters to interact.
The problem with the game is that the online is not catchy. I don't ...
Now we see the real reason why Nintendo of America is not bring Disaster: Day of Crises, which have some curse words, and Fatal Frame, which is a horror title. Nintendo is too worried in maintaining a spotless image to the family customers.
For two years Konami's PES have showed how to football controls with the IR pointer in the Wii. So far, EA Sports never got it, as their own implementation still looks like a joke. No wonder they don't have a clue of what to do with Natal.
I have no idea if Epic is happy or not with Microsoft. However, Patcher did nothing but state the obvious. Also, what you expect Epic to say? Even if they aren't satisfied with the agreement they cannot be perceived as making bad deals.
