I hear they throw in Gears 2 and Fallout 3 if you knock up one of Palin's daughters, maverick style.
WOW.... Thanks for paying attention to life outside your living room for the past 2 years. Fail.
Three years later the PS3 is still not close to making a profit, because from its inception until now Sony has lost money on every PS3 it has manufactured. 360 has been profitable for two years now, and the Wii has been a profit monster since launch.
Even though it is cheaper to make the PS3 now, a price drop would still me Sony would be losing money on every system, and won't affect the market much. Remember, its also cheaper to produce 360 and Wii as well. Any drop that PS...
This article is an EPIC FAIL
It doesnt make sense, its just spin. There is no forgotten math. The 360 is profitable and has been for several years. The Wii is profitable and has been since soon after its launch (and i am not a Wii fan), the PS3 is yet to make a profit as is still losing money per system sold as is stated in the article. Those are the facts. The rest is just spin and damage control.
Honestly, with companies like Activision and Valve threatening to stop making content for the PS3 in 2010 its...
Not if you're talking about playing actual good games and not useless shovel ware which is basically what the Wii line up consist of.
PS2 outsold the PS3 by 19,000 units in Q1 2009!
Check the NPD Numbers.
Nuff said.
Great use of the Avatars, pretty cool extra for 360 owners. That would be so awesome if you were playing GH5 at a bar on the big screen rocking out with your avatar.
Thats pretty cool. Buy five great games and get $10 back. Microsoft is making a lot of 'right moves' lately.
Actually, from Jan 09-Jun 09 the Xbox 360 has sold approximately 500,900 more units than PS3.
What they don't tell you is that in Q1 2009 (Apr-Jun 09) PS2 outsold PS3 by 19,000 units (441,7000 PS2's to 422,700 PS3's) LMFAO!!! Check the NPD numbers, no joke.
Microsoft makes 14 billion dollars in profit and someone is trying to spin it as negative?!? When a lot of tech, gaming, computer companies are going belly up in the current economic climate I'm pretty sure Microsoft employees/shareholders are jazzed to have made a profit of $14,000,000,000.00
Sony is also losing 3rd party exclusivity as seen by Final Fantasyand Metal Gear leap to the 360. To add to their woe, Activision is threatening to drop support for PS3 if there is no price drop.
The real question is, could they compete with it in the 2009 line up? The answer, probably not. I mean, the big PS3 summer blockbuster 'Infamous' got smashed in sales by a multi-plat game in the same vein, 'Prototype' 360 version. Bottom line is 360 owners are avid game buyer, as has been proven by the 360 attach rate. PS3 owners just aren't that way for the most part.
Lol, who the hell thought it was headed to wii. Wii cannot do HD graphics, 60fps. Poor Wiinies, still no good 3rd party games- and none on the horizon, lol.
@ Fishy Fingers
No, it doesn't count due to the fact that its JUST lame and still has no good games. No More Heroes failed, MadWorld failed, Conduit sucks. The Wii sells because actual people who are into gaming just so happen to be vastly outnumbered by those who aren't. Grandmas, Soccer moms, and toddlers, and the sort who play/buy Pokemon Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Purple, Pink, Red, Rainbow etc.
Check the #1 game Prototype---ain't on the Wii.
PS3 and 360 owners in the US will get the game on June 16. Cut through the flame bate and report the whole story.

read the article......and i quote....
"I want to be clear that in hindsight, we believe Microsoft were absolutely correct in the calls they made, and we were wrong"
Firstly, Madworld is not a great game... its an ok game. The gameplay is repetative and meh, the character models are blah, game modes are lacking and controls are not responsive. Not many PS3/360 gamers are interested honestly. Secondly, the game failed. Get over it. Like most hardcore games fail on Wii. Selling 1 million copies on a system with a 60 million install base is no big accomplishment. When Gears came out, 360 had a 10 million install base. Gears sold 5 million... see the diff...
Kinda shocking that they would bring this one back. I know, I know, it was best in show at CES 1989 (loooooong ago) on the original NES, but this one isnt really an obvious choice for a redux is it? I mean, a boy, jelly beans, and a big white load- um, blob? Hind sight makes it seem like a game pedophiles would play. Can we get a GOOD Blaster Master sequal though? or Battletoads perhaps?
I owned it on NES, but could never beat it.
Firstly, there is an embargo on the reviews until the 19th. Even to get a copy they would have had to agree to the embargo and sign the contract. Secondly, notice that the reviewer is vague and purposely non-specific on details of the game. The guy has obviously never played the game. He is uninformed about the new features of the game, and on top of that doesn't even know that the 'second disc' is the Halo 3 multiplayer maps----ALL OF THEM placed on the disc as a seperate experience. He's...
