Well I suppose I'd be considered a hardcore gamer because I'm literally counting the days til I get my hands on this beast (46 days left until the first edition bundle). I'm walking out with enough content to last me the entire 2012 tbh, and I'm not going to regret it one bit.
I also just bought a pair of beats by dre headphones specifically for use with the Vita. I want crystal clear sound when I'm knocking people off the road in ModNation Racers online!...
I expect a late 2012 release for this game. If so expect huge numbers for it. People have been craving a classic FF game all generation long. I truly cannot wait for this!

I don't think it's about linearity vs openness. Its how much is going on on screen at a given time. Uncharted will have massive waves smashing against boats, drake swimming through the waves while firing off at god knows how many enemies, and the game still looks absolutely gorgeous!
Also, Skyrim looks great when played on a PC. Put it in a PS3 and you're almost looking at a totally different game, bug and glitches not even taken into account.

either way, regardless of Vita's sales numbers, I know I'll be picking one up day -7 with around 5 games. Possibly more depending on which 3rd party games are available on the 15th.
Final Fantasy X is going to be amazing on the Vita! It, along with FF IX, is my favorite in the series so I'm super pumped to have the game portable. 2012 is going to be the year of the Vita for me. So many games I'm planning on buying.

My guess is the Vita gets a sequel to the Monster Hunter Portable series. Either way, it's great to see the 3DS getting its fair share of high selling games. Competition is great and this will push Somy and Nintendo to keep pushing their handhelds and giving us great games to play.
Yeah, they have less than 200k to ride the remainder of the year. Definitely gonna be shortages, especially since people buy gifts for new years in Japan rather than Christmas. They're window for big shopping still had another week left. Next weeks Vita numbers will probably sell through the remainder of the shipment.
They didn't ship 700k. They sold through 65% of the shipment which totaled at 325k which means the shipment was 500k
They only shipped 500,000. Next shipment probably won't be until early in 2012. They'll sellout shortly though, that much we can pretty much be assured of.
I think that little tidbit is still unknown tarbis, though I did read a rumor that an estimated additional 271k Vita's were sold digitally. Add the retail numbers 371k and the total would be nearly 650k sold.
That's only a rumor though and the 371k could be the total number in those two days. We wont find out until sometime next week/month I suppose though.

I think that's the difference. You settle for playing on a handheld because you can't at that time on a console. I look forward to playing on my handhelds and often choose playing them over the home console.
I don't understand when people say a portable isn't meant to be played at home. That's bs if u ask me. A portable is meant to be played wherever I want. Whether in my bed, on the toilet, on the couch, or at the doctors office. This idea that a handheld has to be for specific places and types of games is just not realistic in my opinion.
No one in the Dead or Alive serious could touch Steve Fox. I love Ryu Hayabusa, but in DOA he'd get demolished by almost anyone in Tekken. the game would be disastrously broken in favor of the Tekken characters. Sad but true.
It's obviously a Growlanser game. I've always been interested in them but never played them. If its coming to the Vita or PSN as a PSP title then I'll probably give the game a shot as I've always loved SRPG games.
