Why do you say this like it's unusual? Is it not ok for somebody to like and play a game for 6+ months? I've been playing wow off and on for 10 years.
For me as soon as you leave any of the towns and wander the foggy roads and trails the framerate is a slideshow. I would estimate it drops below 10. I use Vats 100% of the time anyway so it's still playable but it's just annoying.
The website has malicious ads and browser redirects on mobile avoid. It attempts to install one of those fake Antivirus programs on your phone.
The negative user reviews are pretty comical. The same review posted over and over from different accounts giving it a 0/10.
They showed gameplay at a behind the scenes event, all the people that went are fueling the hype. They where very impressed with it.

Correction, Hardline didn't blow anybody away, I don't know what you are talking about with BF4, that game is amazing, its one of the oldest PS4 games, and it still has a larger player base then most games online.

The B.A.R. was invented during the war also. Although I need to look and see how widespread it's use was compared to WWII. I think we'll be fine I'm excited. I love bolt rifles also.
Edit. Looks like the BAR didn't come until the final months of the war and saw a little action in france.

If they just package it as a free preorder bonus then the online wont survive at all, there would be nobody to play with.
If it is sold as a stand alone product then we can expect some serious online participation.

I never once viewed Doom as a multiplayer game. The beta was bad, but it's the single player we all care about anyway.

I'm sure the single player will be great but the multiplayer was really bad. So bland and pointless. I played 3 matches and quit. It should have stuck to arena style for sure.
I just started it the other day for the first time. I've probably died 30 times already. 1 on 1 with normal enemies is no problem I dodge and attack them just fine. It's when 3 or more come your way is when there is a problem, the targeting system gets me killed a lot too. While I'm so busy dodging the enemy I'm not locked onto moves closer and I dodge the guy behind him so naturally I'm not far enough away.

I got about 6 hours into skyward sword and rage quit. The motion controls are so poorly implemented and add far more frustration than fun. I tried to push through it but I couldn't take it anymore. At first I thought it was just my controller that was broken until I bought a new one and still had problems, the motion plus just isn't accurate enough for a game like this.
Easily the worst Zelda ever made for me. Unplayable.
