If you don't want to remake it, that's fine by me, just make a HD cutscene of that Retard Flowergirl getting skewered, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

That scene made me so happy, it's like seeing Paris Hilton go to jail.

standard CPU = best diversity worst speed
GPU = best speed but highly limited
Cell = high diversity but not as well rounded as a norm CPU, however, loads faster, FLIP SIDE: Far better diversity of algorithms than GPU but slower

The actual project site states that the majority of work can be expedited best on PS3's cell but to truly be beneficial and to preform all of the calculations efficiently due to the vast number of simple calculations (thats the GPU strong p...

Once again.... why would you really want HD porn???

Are there really people out there who are interested in knowing EXACTLY how many hairs there are on Ron Jeremy's ass?

anyone can all they have to do is compare prices from Anything from all accross the world. Everything costs different prices everywhere.

That was a graphics class and the were just testing it on PS3's. I beleive this class has more to do with teaching architecture and RISC programming. Not sure though.

Not because it isn't possible, it absolutely is but both Apple and Google have made a reputation of "playing nice" with other companies. They can coexist quite nicely and still compete. If anything, I would expect you'll be seeing something along the lines of what goes on between AMD and Intel where both will make sure various software works in both directions, reserving only bread and butter thing strictly for themselves.

With all of the complaints against the latest...

The PS3 does not utilize the RSX for folding the only thing it does for Folding@home is the reltime display. Cell is doing all of the actual work. So it's really silly to compare a CPU to a GPU.

They apparently didn't use true cutscenes. It's quite apparent they used the actual game engine on the cuts like it would be "good enough" I own the PS3 version and rented the Wii version for a day to see what all the gripe was about... and yes, it is 1000 times worse... basicly there was 0 improvement from the previous gen that made it worth while on any "next-gen"system. Decent for FUN factor but lacking on every system I've tried.

An OK game for an OK situati...

the RSX is used to display the real-time modeling of the fold in progress all of the actual work is being done by the Cell.

Fanboys from both sides really need to start reading.

Seems alot of devs tied to Sony like the game, theres actually a reference to it in a music store in Spiderman 3 (the game: PS3 version, not sure if 360's would be the same or different however) There are some boxes on a table with ZWOK plastered on em lol.

An electronic interface for the kitchen was coming to market a year ago with the exact same tech, it would project portion sizes and full recipies onto a counter and the motion sensors record which "buttons" you pushed and proceed as you dictate. Another company has actually released a projection keyboard for computers based on the idea too.

PS3 is proving quite the tough cookie to crack as even while running Linux. The main aspects of it are protected since everything run is runing through the hypervisor, acting as another layer between the components and any installed OS. That means a whole other layer of problems and safety for the system that must be solved before it can be compromised.

Yeah most would agree, but the EULA's have to be there for the same reason Hairdryer mfgs. have to have a label stating that you shouldn't use it in the shower. People are dumb yo.

What evidence is there that a drug will work? That a surgury is possible? That any medical practice ever used would be reliable? That computers of theory would one day work? That the wright brothers would make a machine that flew? That sending human beings to space would benefit humanity? What evidence is there to support any research of the past. If the world took your approach to life we would all still be in caves. If you don't seek knowledge you gain no insight and make no progress.

You can contact your Power company/ municipality and purchase your power through a renewable resource innitiative for a couple pennies more a Kw/H and not worry about it.

OR as the PS3 tends to use about 180w to 200w of power you could also shut off 3 lights and save the same power.

OR you could switch all your lightbulbs to CFL and save alot more power than keeping your PS3 off.

OR You could do all 3 of the above, save yourself some cash and us...

It's pretty neat, After I read about it earlier today on another forum I set it up on mine and turned the TV back to a regular channel and had my buddy come over for a game of poker.... I robbed him blind! Bet he thought I was psychic. He was REALLLLLLLY pissed after I showed him though. Great laugh.
