AC2 is and has been backwards compatible on the Xbox One for a while now maybe they figured it'd sell poorly on that system and thus gave zero fucks about the port?

I'd say the visual diversity of Oblivion was a lot lower than Skyrims (though both are behind Morrowind) so I'd certainly say Skyrim was better in that respect but I found Oblivion's quests to be funner and better written (The Assassins being my favourite). I doubt either was really meant to be a huge success, their both full retail beta units testing out the tech so that future iterations can be smother, cheaper and less restrictive (See wireless). Neither Little Big Planet or Dreams are mods anymore so than Forge in Halo or the Map Maker in Farcry are mods, their LIMITED creation kits. The key point being nothing Sony objects to is allowed in either of those titles and I think that might be the basis for why they don't wan't mods they don't want to be accountable for either players bricking their system, coming across content that offends or anything that might damage Sony's reputation.

There weren't many automatic weapons equipped to soldiers other than the German MP18 in the finale months of the war, so realism hardly applies to Battlefield 1. That said I could give zero fucks what my character looks like in a multiplayer FPS game, far as I'm concerned their just a pair of hands.
