Playable at E3?
I thought Iwata said they will show them off at E3.
Calling Studio Ghibli "cartoony" is like calling the Mona Lisa a "doodle."
Keep that in mind chief ;)
Cartoony?
It's Studio Ghibli. What the heck did you expect? :-/
Thank you for the kind comment - I'm the author of the piece.
I'd like to hear what you disagree with - healthy debate around this topic would be really great, as its an important one, and there's no one right perspective.
Obviously I would love it if you could take the time to post your opinions on the article as well - it would help balance the ideas out if there were some alternative ones on there :)
Thanks!

Do you have a PS3? Then it's not the end of the glory days of JRPGs.
I have like, 50 of them. On one console.
It's a complete organisational restructure.
It's a shake up.
Some people realise that change isn't necessarily a bad thing.
What's good for Nintendo's business is good for everyone.
I see this stupid strawman argument everywhere. Where does this author say "bloody man's torso = A okay?"
Oh right, he/ she didn't. You made that up.
So, if you don't like something, you're not allowed to protest against it any more?
I thought most of the gaming community were for free speech. Oh well, there goes that theory, huh?
You heard it here, folks. Anything that Kur0 doesn't agree with is a joke review.
Never mind that there's been a good 20 reviews I've read today alone that loved this game. Oh no. All those reviews are wrong because Kur0 says so.
Ever thought that perhaps you're the one that's wrong? Nah. Of course not.
Kinda disappointing that XCOM is considered "difficult." It's not really - ask any strategy game veteran. It's just that too many gamer's wits have been dulled by too many FPSers. :P
I'm surprised I haven't seen the outcry: "CLEARLY EVERY REVIEWER HAS BEEN BOUGHT OFF!!!" yet. After all, it can't possibly be that Ninja Theory has made a good game.
It's....
It's....
IT'S DIFFERENT! Different can't be good and Ninja Theory is bad for not being a slave to the fanboys!
Atholine - I think you're pretty much right there. There's also the simple reality that a lot of the audience for the Wii (the people that wanted a simple entertainment device and only bought one or two games - a big part of the Wii's market) has since bought iPads and don't see the need to get another dedicated console.
The Wii U has simply launched at a different point in time to the Wii. I still think it will do well in the long term, but there is no way i...
Don't listen to the sales numbers because a random N4G user knows better.
didn't read it, did you? Article quite explicitly states that it's not OK when movies do it.
Regarding your last sentence: elitism is a form of hostility that a community uses to insulate itself from outside parties looking in.
It is precisely what I am talking about. Copping elitist attitude is not pleasant, rarely warranted, and the fact that it just happened right then supports this guy's line of argument.
How about engaging with new players and explaining to them why it's no fun playing against a spam/ banned character? Positive engagem...
Look, this guy hasn't written a very good piece here, but he does have a point. The fighting game community is incredibly hostile as a culture. Some people are great, but overall it is an uncomfortable community for outsiders to observe.
It's not good for the actual community either. The more welcoming a community can be, the more positive the impact that it can have.
So yeah, fighting game fans - please stop condoning or ignoring the bad eggs. Do s...
Oh look. Contextual sex scene and gamers have a cry.
Blowing a dude's head off with a gun and they cheer.
Jump online, author kid person. I am more than happy to show you Sir Daniel and Toro are anything but minnows.
Amateur. :P
The article wasn't about Nintendo's finances...
