nobody else thinks that Uncharted 1 was better than Uncharted 2?
In terms of action, stealth and platforming, Uncharted 2 was better. But the movement and shooting was better in Uncharted 1.
I think having Drake in the centre of the screen rather than the bottom left makes moving around during gunfights a lot easier. Getting stuck in tight spaces never happened in Uncharted 1, but was a problem in Uncharted 2.
As for the shooting, I think stronger guns, ...
I just hope they revert to gameplay to Uncharted 1 style.
The shooting was not as fun in Uncharted 2.
The gameplay wasn't that great but the fact that you always had 0 latency even when playing on a 60 player server was awesome.
Jak and Daxter was Naughty dog, not insomniac.
So if you're wandering what happened, Naught dog went on to make he best games this gen. Uncharted and Uncharted 2
I though it would be like playing an arcade shooter, being able to aim the gun and hit that point on the screen. But the Wii's sensor technology is SO BAD. I remember playing Time Crisis on the PS1 and it being almost perfect, it seems the wii has technology a lot worse than the PS1 gun controller.
Got bored about 5 hours in. That was a very boring week.
Also Far Cry 2 and MW2 campaign.
And Dragon age just lacked any kind of fun.
I didn't like 2,3 or 4. I hate buttonmashers so couldn't really get onto Gow3 or bayonetta. And heavy rain was a bit weird and lacked interactivity.
Honestly, just cause 2 is a lot of fun. It lacks and kind of a story, but it is an ideal sandbox game.
1:1 sword fighting game just sold me completely. I was so skeptical and thought this would be just as gimmicky as the wii, but that looks awesome.
Imagine playing Demon's Souls like that! *drools*
Didn't like God of War 3 or Heavy rain though.
Add the resistance games, Ratchet games, Uncharted 1, Killzone 2, LiitleBig Planet and inFamous for a more complete list. There are others too.
I still think the best PS3 game, if not the greatest game ever is Uncharted 1. Enjoy the gameplay much more than the sequel, I can play it for another 2 years and not get bored.
It's parodying the stupid Xian article.
I think Natal is the best hardware, but the Move seems to cater to core gamers, not just casual players.
The best motion controller will be the one that is presented with most good games; also, price will be a big factor.
My total playtime was ~5hours before i got too bored to continue. It's a well made game with good production quality and a lot to do, none of the things to do are any fun though.
Make a new handheld, the PSP2, that has all the gaming capablitites of a console. 2 joysticks, 4 shoulder buttons, built in HDD, ect...
I expect them to announce it this year at E3, if they don't then I will be dissappointed.
Gears of war is a great game.
The gampleay is kind of like Uncharted, but with an annoying locked camera angle, horrible melee and no platforming. But still it is fun.
There is no "the PC version" it will look different on everyones system.
Sure a PC like mine will leave consoles looking outdated by years, but others won't. I know a lot of people whose computers would have graphics that are far inferior to consoles.
What we should say as PC gamers, is that "running on high" the PC version will look better. Something that doesn't say that all PC's are the same, unlike consoles which ARE all the same.
As...
I don't like swearing. Boo hoo.
This is not news at all, just some whiny little bi+c# having a cry because they don't like swearing.
As for swearing in games, it's only usually in war games. I have never been in war, but I imagine that if I am getting shot at, I'm not going to say "oh fiddlesticks, I almost darn died." What I could imagine is me saying the f-word over and over.
U2 cutscenes are not there to cover up loading. If you get to a cutscene and skip it as soon as it starts, then you return to the game immediately without seeing a loading screen, just like in Drake's Fortune.
And whoever said MGS4 cutscenes were prerendered is wrong. The cutscenes depict snake in whatever colour his octocamo last was; you can even interact with the cutscenes by shaking the controller, which will return his suit colour back to the deafult.
I didn't like Gow3, Heavy Rain or Bioshock 2 at all really. Mass Effect 2 and Just Cause 2 are awesome, but the pokemon games are my favourite.
It's not just for looks though, there's some kind of flashlight gameplay involved which sounds cool.
I really wish the game wasn't just on xbox :(
Gears of war is one of those games.
However, if they improve the storytelling and make the characters feel more natural and believable, rather than just agressive meatheads, then I wiould care about the story. It's not too late for me to care about marcus.
