Nonsense, are you honestly suggesting folks would pirate it these choose to play it on weaker hardware? I don't think that's plausible at all.
Absolute bollocks to suggest that a meaningful percentage of the 1 million pirates also bought a copy.
I avoid online games completely so my experience with GaaS is very limited, the last one I played (but bounced off very quickly) was the first Destiny game.
With that said, I got caught up in the hype and loved the footage from some of my fave podcasters etc, so I took the plunge.
I don't have much to compare HellDivers 2 too, but I have played over 55 hours now (level 38) and I have spent any real money and I have unlocked around 85 percent of the pu...
Jeez, that's tough going mate, hope things settle down for you soon.
The relevant question for me is, does it matter? It's on GamePass day and date so the traditional metrics for success won't matter?
I used to give into fomo a lot in the early days but I am much more choosy these days. I did play this on Gamepass back in the day and had a good time with it, so I have pre-ordered a copy as I'd like to Plat this on my PS5.
To be fair to Obsidian, they weren't advertising this fact, or even commenting on it. They just put the game out and some wally spotted it and posted to Reddit. Then some site, desperate for a story puts this up and now folks are bagging on the dev.
Seems like a non story to me and kinda unfair to level criticism at the devs. They just put the game out and not once talked about performance.
I am really looking forward to playing this when my physi...
🤣 comment of the week!
Had MS not tried to buy up all the competition, these games would have released on all formats without delay. I am not quite sure how MS now acting as gatekeeper to what would have been a multi-formal game 'paints them in a good light'.
I played it on GamePass already, so I'll hang fire in the hopes that a physical release happens on PS5.
Brilliant game!
It'll have Xbox Game Studios splashscreens just like the PS Studios one on MLB the Show on Xbox I reckon, and it must have trophy support in order for Sony to allow it on the system.
I haven't felt compelled once to make any purchases above my initial purchase of the game and I have bought nearly every weapon/stratagem just by playing around 40 hours of the game.
I would had my 1st issues with getting in last night and had to give up, but I have been fine tonight. Hopefully the issue is resolving itself.
Honestly, I have absolutely zero interest in any form of online gaming and have been this way for at least 6 or 7 years. Due to my fondness for the first game, I ended up trying the sequel and I havent looked back. For me, it's the way the weapons feel and the feedback from the sound and crazy animation on the damage you are dealing, it just makes you feel like a complete badass.
I thought my online multi player days were long gone, but boy am I hooked. Its been so l...
I have to imagine the scale of the success of the game has caught everyone by surprise, so the odd server issue here and there is a little frustrating, but far more understandable that fifa or COD, for example.
Hate to be 'that guy' but I played around 20 hours over 3 days with only 1 server unavailability for around 30 mins, guess I'm lucky
This is hilarious, the denial of any common sense from some is something to behold.
There has been almost complete radio silence from the usual offenders for the most part whilst the worst of the rumours were swirling. But as soon as they have the slightest BS from Phil that they can latch onto they are on the comments section in full force again!
If they honestly believe that there is anything other than damage control going on and that MS aren't s...
I really don't understand why a sentence displayed on a loading screen for a few seconds can make people lose their marbles so much?
If you are not sensitive to the content then the warning isn't aimed at you, move on with your day.
Yeah, these adds are pretty egregious, I know the site needs to make money, but these ads make the site borderline unusable.
As someone who stopped playing online games about 10 years ago (the original Destiny was the last game I played), I tried this game as a massive fan of the 1st game.
I have to say, I am all the way back into online service games, this one seems super fair with its economies and progression and the gameplay is absolutely stellar, I cannot believe how good this game feels to play!!
Lightening, if you cannot appreciate the HUGE impact Druckman has made in respect of tje profile of Sony and PlayStation given the monumental success of the Last of Us TV show, then I dunno what to tell you.
It's been 3 years or so since Last of Us 2, perhaps you should come up with your own ideas about ND not putting games out quickly enough instead of parroting dubious narratives from 3rd rate websites.
I would be amazed if games of the quality of N...
