Why are you getting downvoted? It's still gonna be exclusive to EGS on PC for a year. There's your exclusivity, haters. Oh wait, that's right. Exclusivity isn't good when it's PC storefronts, right?
Make up your damn minds about whether you want to be outraged about exclusivity or non-exclusivity.

Yeah, it got pushed back by a week or so, but it'll still be out this month.

It will be!

That was for the Prepare to Die edition. This version enables the mod for Dark Souls Remastered.

@Potnoodle999, nah, I just realised that it's not worth the effort.
I'm firmly in the camp that singular nouns ending in 's' adhere to the same rules as those that don't (eg. princess's shoes vs princesses' shoes), which does include series, but I know that there's a pretty healthy debate about stylistics and prescriptive vs descriptive grammar, which includes this very question.
I know that I'm not going to convince anyone in an opposing...

It can be plural, yes, but in this instance, it isn't. Ergo, the singular rule applies.

"Series" is singular, even though it ends in s.

People know it's there, but people are also convinced that it's not worth their time. That's an attitude that EA should be trying to dispel.

Compulsion Games has released one game, Undead Labs two, Playground three games. Ninja Theory four. They're proven teams who have made much enjoyed, if not always strongly reviewed, titles. Only one is untested.
Do you really think that being under the Microsoft umbrella is really going to make them turn away from what they've done in the past? If so, then you're blind to the fact that MS has shown a concerted effort to cultivate studios into doing what they best over the...

Funnily enough, that was one of the options that was considered. However, between Norse settings being all the rage recently and the strength of the ones we included, we decided not to include it.

Not at all, but Sony's silence around the series after ten years of almost annual releases between 2002 and 2013 is concerning, especially with its stablemates Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper on ice and Insomniac now taking longer between releases than in years past.
Besides, if Spider-Man takes off like most people expect it will, then it wouldn't be out of the question for Insomniac to keep working on more games in that universe (if Marvel and Sony keep the deal in place), ra...

And where in the submission guidelines does it say that? Why doesn't N4G make it easier to post non-standardised review scores by removing the default /0 when you select no score? If that was removed, I would readily write out the full review score, but having the /0 makes it cramped and unreadable.

But we do score. We've scored it as a Distinction. And, if you read our review policy:
"The distinction is reserved for those games that are remarkable in some way and leave a lasting impression on the player, their excellence to be cited in the years to come. Recent examples include Dishonored 2 and Virginia. The distinction represents a notable leap in quality, and so relatively few games will receive this award."

By checking the site's review policy, perhaps? It's not out of A or A+ because that's inaccurate, but selecting "no score" on the review metric defaults to 0, so that's the only real option we have.

2216d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

But it does have a score, and that score is Distinction. It's not a numerical score, but why does that make it any less valid than some arbitrary number.
We use F/P/C/D/HD when submitting to N4G, but don't set it out of A or A+ so that it's clear that we don't use that metric.

That's not the goal at all. We use a custom system to get rid of the arbitrary numbering system to allow something that is based more on the reviewer's experience with the game than attempting to adhere to some impossible idea of objectivity.

Thank you for reading. And, a bit of a shameless plug, but if the review caught your attention, you might want to check out what our media team thought of it: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
