The ps3 may well catch the 360 in sales eventually, though i think it will be a couple of long years ahead yet.
It's still a fantastic achievement by microsoft to have done so well this time round, credit where it's due.
As long as it's a close run thing we all benefit, i'm lucky enough to own both but favour the 360 due to the controller (big hands)

i got the new slim 360 like a month ago, and it's reddy for kinect. all i gotta do is buy the camera and stuff. Comes this month, and im gonna get it for christmas for sure.

SNES was the best. Everything else after that just seems like incremental improvements, although I've wondered whether I feel that way simply because I grew up in that era. Many current major franchises got their start on the SNES and many others who started earlier with the NES achieved their current cult status with their SNES versions. The first Mario Kart, DK Country, FF IV-VI, SNES Zelda, the list goes on and on.
Hmmm... I'm not saying that it looks bad.
But the looks of models, textures, animations, effects, lighting, I don't see anything that PS2 can't handle. Unlike Eternal Sonata or Valkyria Chronicles, which you could tell right away that they need to run on a high-end system.
I know selling it as a PS3 game could mean more profit. But if they don't have enough power to pull off the PS3-standard graphics..

f Sega went back to the console business, Sony would just kick their **** again. Dreamcast was good, but failed because of the idiots that bought a PS2 just for DVDs. If Sega made a new console, not only would the console die fast, but so would the company. Sega has already lost their ability to make consoles.

Forza 3 was announced like 5 months before it came out, and Gears of War 2 was announced the same year it was released as well. I bet in 2011 you that have some other big title other then Forza Motorsport 4, Gears of War 3, Project Draco, Steel Battalion, XCom and potentially Kingdoms. Still an impressive lineup 360 as it is.
Kingdom Hearts is easily one of the most milked franchises in this gen. At this point in time this game is the one that is leaving a greater sour taste in my mouth tho, do to SE recent fail strategy this gen...
Kratos is a D-bag.don't care about him killing the gods and whatnot, fine, that's his revenge, whatever. It's just that he kills a lot of random people in the way for no apparent reason and shows no remorse.
They try so hard to make him badass and cool, but he comes off like he was designed and written by 10 year old boys.
Black Ops is gonna open to a huge number.
Gran Turismo 5 is very poor numbers, but I'm sure when it starts to be advertised it should get some good boosts. Strange that it's doing so poorly with so little time left. Although I suppose it is matching the huge Kinect so it could be worse.

I think it's likely Versus will get ported for 360, especially considering how successful XIII ended up being in 360 ( around 2.0 million of copies sold)

Uncharted 2 compared to the other sales hits of the year is very mediocre, it’s not close of sales of halo reach. And for a game that is of such universally praised quality and so seemingly mass-market friendly, it’s puzzling.

Forza 3 has the more sophisticated graphics engine, and I also think the cars sound better. It also has far more cars.
Forza 3 has a decent damage module, great customization, and some really innovative online features.
They're BOTH good games in their own right. but still to prefer Forza 3 over GT5..
i’ll ignore your clear bias against halo and your obvious love for a terrible game that no one ever played in killzone 2 ( zero online players) and just point out that a 4rd generation game is going to look better than a 2nd generation game.
An example of an excellent Kinect game, but for the right audience. It looks like a lot of fun musics.
