@Zeref
OK then here is what I'm offended by. I'm offended that some people are hooked on seeing racism everywhere they can. I'm offended by the absolute lack of logic of the process. I can go on and on about everything I don't like or support and express myself in a way that says those things are offensive. I made the statements. Will it stop now? Or does it only work in one direction?
People are bullying the creators of this game into res...
Neil thinks diversity makes a better story. He literally said that in an interview. That's how great of a writer he is right now.
My best new IPs:
Bloodborne, Sekiro, Horizon, Titanfall, The Witness, Hollow Knight, Outer Wilds, Inside, Cuphead, Disco Elysium, The Talos Principle, SOMA, Rocket League, Invisible Inc
most wanted: Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima
Yakuza : Like a Dragon comes to mind
Not exactly.
Remaster: Same game with slight improvements on graphics and/or sound (better resolution, textures, framerate etc). The original assets (maps, models, soundtrack etc...) are being rendered at better quality or reworked
Remake: Based on a previously released game, a new game is being made from scratch. New assets are being created.
A remake can be faithful to the original or go in different directions. Doesnt change the fac...

I would give best new IP to Horizon as well but I think Ghost of Tsushima might steal that title if it lives up to its potential.
State of Play in a couple hours!
The whole point of the new audio chip is to provide gamers with great audio fidelity capable of 3D localisation with any basic stereophonic headphones. The chip change the sound accordingly based on the position of the players and where the sound is actually coming from. This spacialisation of the sound translates to hearing behind you, above you or even all around you (like being surrounded by the sound of rain instead of simply hearing a "rain" sound in the background).
Isnt the plot about a Samurai going the Ninja way? In the lastest trailer you can see his mentor telling him that stealth isnt honorable.
Simply because Bluepoint decided to keep the gameplay exactly the same doesnt mean we could call it a remaster. Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is absolutely a remake. They literally made the game again.
A lot more could be added to the list. My most anticipated ones:
Eastward
Hollow Knight : Silksong
Somerville
Radio the Universe
Sable
Witchfire
The Last Night
Paradise Lost : First Contact
In 2013 PlayStation released The Last of Us, which many consider game of the generation. Sony gave the PS3 great support.
Silent protagonists arent mute. Their personality are suppressed so the player can project himself even more into the character. The point is to not have the character say or think something that the player wouldnt say or think himself, which would create dissonance between the two and break immersion.
You cant disagree with someone who says nothing.
2009 to 2019 would be 11 years man, count them. same thing for 2000 to 2010, it is also 11 years.
2009 - 1
2010 - 2
2011 - 3
2012 - 4
2013 - 5
2014 - 6
2015 - 7
2016 - 8
2017 - 9
2018 - 10
2019 - 11
the decades are:
1980 to 1989 - the 80's
1990 to 1999 - the 90's
2000 to 2009 - the 2000's
2010 to 2019 - the 2010's ...
Uncharted 2 is 2009, it belongs to the 2000's decade (from 2000 to 2009).
Exciting times! If I find the courage, I will wait for the PS5 to play Cyberpunk so I can enjoy the ray-tracing tech. The controller somehow mimicking surfaces like mud and ice seems awesome as well. Seems like another must have system from Sony.
edit: Looks like Bluepoint just confirmed they are working on a PS5 game.
It's great to stop watching trailers and gameplay videos when you know you're going to buy the game anyway but the long development time required for games these days make it difficult sometimes to stay in the dark.
Before internet, we only had magazines to keep up with the news and eventually see a few low resolution screenshots or artworks here and there. It helped with the feeling of discovering our games back then.
1. Bluepoint - For the very reason uptownsoul mentioned, there are plenty of classics that should get the RE2 remake treatment.
2. Kojima Productions - We'll see how Death Stranding turns out but they're already sharing tech with the game engine.
3. Remedy - Simply because they fit the profile of what Sony 1st party studios are about: story-driven, good looking and single player game.
