You guys are trippin...there is hardly any difference at all. How can you guys lie to yourselves like that.
Guys those were all screen captures from videos of the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2. It's easy to see that Crysis 2 has better lighting and better textures.
The main thing that makes Killzone 3 look good is its sepia color palette and high contrast art direction. It gives it a very stylized look. But in terms of pure graphics, Crysis 2 looks better in these screenshots.
I can't believe you guys are going to sit here and deny the obvious.
gaming is not a crime, but being a stupid, blind fanboy is. Quit drinking the Sony kool aid and quit taking everything so seriously.

I'm not offended by David Jaffe or Cliff Bleszinski. A lot of fanboys get their panties in a bunch over nothing.
"just a lil pussy bitch boy"
That better describes PS3 fanboys more than anything. I swear, I have never seen a more whiny or sensitive group of fanboys in my life. You all act like 15 year old girls on your periods.
You guys seriously overexaggerate how good Killzone 3 looks. I have put quite a few hours into the beta and it does look great, but not as amazing as you guys are claiming.
The textures are mostly middle of the road. There are a few impressive textures here and there, but generally the textures are just average.
The lighting is ok, but it isn't really that accurate. Much of the lighting looks kind of flat. There are isolated light sources that cast sh...
The only games in the same ball park as Crysis 2 on consoles are maybe Uncharted 2, Gears of War 3, Rage, and Killzone 3.
The tech Crysis 2 is pushing is amazing for consoles.
Obviously the PC version is going to crank everything up to 10!
Since when has Sony had any games that scored as well AND sold as well as Halo 3, Halo Reach or Gears of War 2?
Oh and it's "does", not "dose".
Yeah but lots of fanboys were claiming it was going to blow away Halo Reach in sales.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to Gears of War 3 with great anticipation, but Microsoft really need to announce more hardcore games that don't require Kinect.
If there weren't so many great multiplatform games coming out this year and if I didn't have a PS3 too I would be even more annoyed with Microsoft's weak hardcore lineup this year.
You do realize that that logic makes no sense whatsoever right?
If they are trying to make multiplats as equal as possible then why do the PS3 versions so often struggle to keep up?
It makes no sense to say that they are trying to make both versions equal and that is why the PS3 version ends up worse.
That is completely illogical.
That is not very honest of you there. There is a lot more than a fex pixels or 1 or 2 fps difference between many multiplatform games.
If one version of a multiplatform game runs at a solid 30fps and the other has constant dips down to 20 fps, that is a pretty significant difference that will have an impact on your experience.
That is just one example.
If the 360 version of LA Noire has frame rate problems or lower resolution or screen teari...
This doesn't really mean that it is better, but it does bode well for the PS3 version in the sense that we at least know that they aren't embarrased to show it off.
Eidos has also been showing off the PS3 version of Deus Ex Human Revolution. Then again, it also seems to have quite a bit of screen tearing.
All I am saying is that it is generally a good sign that the PS3 version is at least a decent performer. It doesn't mean, however, that the ...
I've heard PS3 fanboys claim everything from Ratchet & Clank to MGS4 to inFamous are graphical beasts that the 360 supposedly can't match. But to me such statements are just a joke, since I've played multiplatform games that look better than those games, let alone 360 exclusives like Gears of War or Alan Wake.
The fact is, Gears of War 3 has better textures on average than Killzone 3 and it now has a great real-time lighting engine that looks just as impressiv...
Couldn't agree more. I can't wait for all those games. Deus Ex Human Revolution looks especially good to me just because I love the setting.
I think it is people like you that are worried about it. For people like me it is simply about sticking up for the truth.

Yeah and Lens of Truth was full of crap on that point. A frame analyzer might find that it occasionally tears, but it isn't visible. I never once saw screen tearing in the 360 version of Mass Effect 2. So, if it isn't visible how in the world does it affect anything? Why would it be a point against the 360 version?
That's the problem with Lens of Truth. They don't seem to understand when something is significant or not significant.

I know exactly what he means. Crysis 2 looks more realistic, whereas Killzone 2 looks more cartoonish.
Crysis 2 has more of that photo-realistic look. Killzone 3 on the other hand looks more like a graphic novel or something, not realistic.
First of all I am not saying Killzone 3 looks bad. I just think it has been hyped up beyond what it really is.
Those screenshots you just posted have been touched up. They obviously look a lot cleaner than the raw screen captures we have seen before.
When both games are put on equal footing using the untouched screenshots directly from gameplay it is easy to see how the two stack up.
