Gears 3 looks just as good as KZ3 and will probably be more fun to play.
lol yeah sure. It would probably run worse and look worse.
It's true. This comparison is pretty accurate. I played both versions myself and the PS3 version does have more slowdown.
I've played both versions and here's what I saw:
The 360 version looks sharper, the PS3 version looks blurrier.
The PS3 version has slightly less noticeable jaggies, probably due to the overall blurrier image quality, but this is hardly noticeable.
The 360 version has more detail in the textures.
The 360 version had better contrast and richer colors.
So, out of my consoles I would definitely pick this...

I think a big part of it has to do with Sony's domination the past two generations. What I have noticed is that the average die hard PS3 fanboy is usually in his late teens to early twenties and most of them basically started gaming on the PS1 or PS2. Therefor they have an unrealistic and unbalanced view of things based on being so new to gaming.
I have been gaming since the Atari days and I have seen companies come and go. I realized long ago that being attached to ...

Your reasoning is as faulty as it comes. What you're saying is akin to saying 'don't complain about that murderer or try to do anything to stop his actions because if you do you are just as bad as the murderer'.
Neutral gamers, PC gamers, Nintendo gamers and Xbox gamers all complain about PS3 fanboys for a reason (and don't much complain about each other) and the reason is that PS3 fanboys are the most fanatical and irrat...
You can't be freaking serious. Killzone 3 isn't even an improvement over Killzone 2 in every way. KZ2 looked smoother and more CG-like. The aliasing is more noticeable to me in KZ3 and there seem to be more examples of low res textures. In any case, the improvement is not very big at all.
Crysis 2 is quite superior to Killzone 3 in nearly every way.
Hmm...sales, ok. So if Halo 3 sold two or three times as much as Killzone 2 then Halo 3 is two or three times as good as Killzone 2, right?
Tracks do have more detail in Forza 3 than in GT5. I can't believe anybody would try to deny that.
This is the PS3 version, that is probably why it has all the screen tearing and stuff.
Turks and Germans are awesome.
KZ3 looks pretty damn good, but Crysis 2 on the 360 still manages to look even better.
When Crysis 2 is the best looking game on every platform it is available on I think it is pretty obvious that a Crytek exclusive will be something amazing.
And here we are about to get a third Uncharted for the PS3 (not to mention another one for the NGP) after the PS3 only being on the market for a little over 4 years. Or how about Ratchet & Clank with its bazillion sequels? Talk about milking.
For fun gameplay and re-playability I would take Halo Reach over Killzone 2 any day. Judging by the demo (which is what demos are for) Killzone 3 seems like the same mediocre experience as the second one.
@blumatt
Is that why Crysis 2 running on the 360 has impressed the hell out of all the journalists that recently played it? Is that why Crysis 2 on the 360 looks better than anything on the PS3?
The 360 and PS3 are pretty close in performance. The 360 has a better GPU and more available RAM, while the PS3 has a better CPU. It's up to developers to take advantage of the unique strengths of each console.
@EasilyTheBest
That was funny. It gave me a chuckle.
Anyway, Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 will both be awesome. I love all the hard work Naughty Dog puts into their games.
He has no proof. He just doesn't like the results that often show the 360 versions outperforming the PS3 versions. Any site that does comparisons will be labeled that way by PS3 fanboys because the truth is that 360 versions tend to be the better versions much of the time. This doesn't sit well with people that only own a PS3.
Oh well, the truth is the truth.
