"we KNOW that kinect can do 1:1. "

Draw something using your finger with Kinect. If it can do 1:1 it should be easy stuff.

"it doesnt matter if there is 0 seconds of lag, or 10 seconds of lag"

It matters to the user because the disconnect between their movement and the games representation of it will make the game an unplayable bewildering mess.

Just like this.

And yet you were probably one of the first to discount any anecdotal evidence as proof while the RROD fiasco was being buried and MS still has provided no official numbers in any context when it came to light.

However here are the official numbers from Sony. By publishing these official numbers they opened themselves to serious liability from shareholders if it wasn't the truth. As a serious problem with a higher defect rate would have potentially effected their stock. ...

Because closed hardware systems with a narrowly defined set of components provide a very stable baseline compared to a platform that has to account for hundreds or thousands of variations that are out the original designers control.

The great strength of the PC - hardware upgrades and the extra flexibility is also it's greatest weakness - a tradeoff in loss of stability.

So yes every system has the potential. But not the same probability.

You meant 360 consoles.

Both the Wii and PS3 are within industry standards of any other electronics.

It's the 360 that's been the exception.

@raztad

Thanks.

To be honest I'm actually not sure how the bubble system here works as I'm still at three. Would I need another one to go up or does it mean others took them away as well?

@YourCall
See the difference between your post and mine is people actually learned some things they may not have known before. But if your basic insecurities cause you to perceive that as being a Mr. KnowItAll - as if knowledge is a bad thing...

People don't care about tech. They care about what tech enables. If after watching that video you don't see the point it's old with even games that were on the PS2 then there isn't much else to say. The video I linked wasn't about the tech it was about the end result to the user. So either you didn't watch it and get that point or you intentionally missed it to make it about half the issue. The ones in the written portion only.

But if you want to talk...

Very old and already available. They already made it. Despite Omega4's false beliefs.

$120-150 for Kinect or the Eye @ $30.

But Omega4 is probably one of those "believers" that also bought a Launch($400) because HDMI was an evil Sony ploy and then an Elite($480) because OMG now HDMI 1.2 makes it just a...

Here is the more accurate recap for those that didn't actually read the article.

"Our verdict? Believe it or not, this latest craze to hit the gaming arena is more than just a gimmick. No, really.
While there are a few kinks that need ironing out, the extra layer of immersion that 3D provides is impossible to deny."

It's not Blu-ray. It's HDMI.

Millions of 360's with component only can't participate at all. All PS3's can.

The rest of the 360's with HDMI 1.2 will be shut out of the stereoscopic 3D based on the HDMI 1.4 3D standard now appearing in the 3D TV's from Panasonic, Sony, Samsung etc.

That's why the PS3 had a free 3D firmware update and the 360 didn't. It's now part of the PS3 OS and integrates with the ...

That's the ethos of the company. That's why you see the evasiveness and deception.

There is a difference between people making mistakes and intentionally perpetuating misconceptions. M$ is the master of the last one. We are within industry standards while the RROD was happening and top execs were cashing out their stocks.

Dr. Marks has been giving presentations to health organizations so the reference with surgeons is not surprising. Obviously it...

Now every Xbox troll has a family. Really? Thought Live was only $50.

Xbox Live for the whole family has been $200 EVERY YEAR or $1000 since launch.

You could have bought multiple consoles for your family instead. Oh wait you already did that as well. LMAO.

Launch, then Elite, then S your already up to another $1200 and STILL hoping they will last longer than 3 months this time.

$2200 for less DVD space than the Xbox. B...

Not to mention a "demo" that has 16-players on-line which is more than "full" arcade racers going for $60 can achieve.

PD is king. No doubt about it.

They didn't try and pull a fast one by calling it GT5 and then release GT6 this Nov. People knew exactly what they were getting and apparently flocked to it.

You were responding to his comment about choosing a regular controller over Move.

Then you the said the Move is a novelty for an arbitrary list of full sports game based on your own bias rather than anything concrete to back it up. Fine.

What else is a novelty except a euphemism for something that is shallow/ doesn't have the lasting appeal to keep one's attention or meet ones needs?

You meant something else than it lacked the depth...

5025d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Your mixing up ideas here.

There is nothing shown so far to indicate Move has any less "depth" than DS. Nothing. If anything the feedback from the Zippers guys is it brings additional immersion. If you don't consider increased immersion additional depth then fine.

It's fine if you think you will prefer DS. But the biased presentation of using the words novelty to serve it have nothing to do with the depth of one controller over another. <...

Agree with everything you say but this part isn't completely correct

"With EA and other publishers that require a code to activate part of the game, it's locked to one account. "

That's only true for additional consoles and not the "main" console where all subaccounts on the PS3 can use it.

Still it's the reason I will no longer be buying EA products as we have multiple consoles and they can go F themselve...

"All of them have thier arms out in front of them"

Wrong.

The first unveiling had the guy sitting on a couch barely moving his arm on stage.

You can play sitting down with fine almost imperceptible movements. Certainly no more strain than a dualshock is on your thumbs.

Tell me this is any more strenuous than a DS or his arms are any more out front than when holding a DS?

Yeah but I think this one is special. No need to lump it all together when exceptions occur.

2112 is a concept album for starters. Usually you just get a bunch of disconnected songs rather than a cohesive story.

Secondly the whole premise of 2112 is the discovery of a guitar and the rediscovery of music as a form of personal freedom. Kind of fitting.

Thirdly this is their greatest album and it's about f****** time :)
