halo was never a MAC exclusive. It was being made for both PC and MAC but was announced via a MAC games conference.
But Microsoft was ALWAYS going to be getting HALO. Bungie have a you tube video about this on Bunige.net
NOBODY should be given the task of making or continuing the Halo story but Bungie. If Bungie want to explore other possibilities, then let them. Let Halo sleep for a couple of years 5 to 10 years(master chiefs in a cryo-pod, so everything will be ok).
Come back to Halo when they feel like they have the ultimate Halo story. I personally would hate to see Halo turn into CoD and be chucked back and forth between 2 studios.

Xbox Live while it does have hackers its not in the same sense or league as PSN. PSN seems to have more game hackers and cheaters. Where as Xbox Live seems to have console modders, mostly modded controllers.
