Why are we even pretending to believe some no-name twitter account? I'm guessing the answer is fanboy hope.

@Saren Arterius
how can anyone be so confident in Alan Wake? You have no idea what it has, because we've hardly seen anything of it.

Furthermore, he seems to chastise the use of the 'rumor' tag because it takes away accountability. As you pointed out, it actually was a rumor, so it's ridiculous to fault Kotaku for correctly tagging it.

The whole situation becomes ironic when you look at the title of the article directly below this one:

"Rumor: Pioneer Cutting TV Division"

Yes, he did in fact use the 'rumor' tag despite speaking against it.

Using Google Images to...

Hiphopgamer, I know you're all about being taken seriously, so why not actually employ sentence structure and attempt to appear somewhat professional? Even if your messages are agreeable, I'm inclined to hate them because the article is just such a chore to read.

In this case, however, I think your message is wrong too. Fanboy wars are inevitable and would certainly exist without the media. Fanboys are stupid and they'll argue over just about anything. Heck, there were certainly...

Jack Tretton: If a player logs into his PlayStation 3 account on a friend's system, he can download any game he has already purchased. "You can send that content to four other friends for that initial investment," said Tretton. "We want to get the game in as many hands as possible."

I think the president of SCEA would know.

To me, it sounds like his statement was taken out of context. I think the message Kaz is trying to get across is that one of the problems with creating a console that has a lot of power is that it's going to be new and different from what developers are used to.

Microsoft essentially wanted a console that could output HD graphics. They weren't necessarily worried about having the most powerful console. Their strategy allowed them to get to market first and open up a lead.

That seems like the only reason why MGS4 hasn't gotten trophy support yet. It adds incentive to buy the Substance-esque version.

G4 or Spike should do a Tomb Raider themed Bachelorette-type show with her. It would be absolutely epic.

When’s Dead Rising coming to PS3?

Reply:
Hmm.

It wouldn't make much sense to reply to that unless there was something going on with it. I hope it's true.

When there was all that hubbub about not being able to mention the length of cut scenes in MGS4, I recall IGN saying that a list of story points not to be mentioned was pretty standard for a game. The deal with not mentioning the length of cut scenes was unusual, but within the rights of the publisher.

In this case, we're just talking about story spoilers, which IGN indicated was standard. This makes me think the guy writing this article doesn't have the best relationship with pu...

That would really be ideal for me. Offer a two to three hour classic sonic experience and offer it for $15-$20. I would probably get it.

Geurilla Games isn't working on two games at once. Insomniac will be more interested in promoting the next Ratchet game, which we know nothing about except that it's coming.

I really don't see myself ever paying a subscription to play a single game, so that means The Agency is at least on my radar. I'm okay with in-game advertising. Hopefully the micro-transactions are limited enough so that they don't ruin the experience for people who don't buy much.

February 2009 for a Resistance 2 reveal? February seems more of an apt time to reveal the next Ratchet game which comes out in 2009. Revealing a game in February 2009 and then releasing in late 2010 makes no sense.

The whole Resistance 3 supposed plot sounds about what I expected going out of Resistance 2 though.

I don't really see brand loyalty being an issue. It didn't matter for GTA, DMC, or any other game this generation. Why would it suddenly be a factor now? Besides, if you're really a hardcore Tomb Raider fan, you're probably going to buy it on 360 to get the DLC. I think Beast is right and the PS3 just has a higher install base than the 360 in Europe.

But PC developers can often have trouble with consoles, especially with the PS3 since it's architecture differs more than the 360's to the PC. The console versions have already been delayed, which may or may not be a bad sign. It's already having tech problems on the PC, so those might be amplified on a console, where the developer probably has less experience. I'm holding out hope for this one though.

I really want something to tide me over until Diablo 3. I hope the developers can make a smooth transition to consoles. Blizzard might take notice if Sacred does well on consoles.

We've already gotten beta invites. If it's just opening up the beta to everyone, then it's not really a Qore-associated thing. Killzone 2 makes the most sense.

It was set in the same world, but in a diner and it showed a reflection of Ratchet and Clank in the window. I'd really prefer an add that showcased a whole bunch of the games coming out this year.

Every article that has anything to do with any kind of restrictions has the word 'draconian' in it. It's gotten annoying.

The overuse of "littlebig" is really annoying in this petition. I don't really mind the controls. Yeah, it doesn't really work when trying to recreate games like Super Mario Bros, but why buy a new game to only replay an old one? It just means creators have to creatively take advantage of LBP's control, which isn't bad.
