AFAIK Remedy wanted to make Quantum Break instead. AW2 was just something they threw together and they used a lot of it in the AW DLC and some of the concepts in QB.

Yes it does look amazing, but at 1 second of the trailer it looks like fallout 3 so that screen doesnt matter, jk. I think the game definitely looks good enough in the lighting department, it just needs better textures which should be improved by launch and itll be next gen enough.
Crystal Dynamic has nothing to do with the 360 version. The xbox one version will look next gen enough.
Yes it does Xbox has all the cool original games, while the japstation just has boring rpgs. Microsoft will still make a profit when the big games come out.
It goes both ways. If you look at the ps4 stat sheet it looks like a lot of the components combined is more than 3 times more powerful than the xbox one, yet the Ps4 is just barely more powerful and this is the closest generation. I'm going to call it, Quantum Break is going to go head to head with Uncharted 4 for best graphics of 2016 unless Gears 4 does it.
Kinda like how Playstation fans wish they can have an exclusive game that can compete with Halo, it will never happen. Oh and 7% is a big change because that would've brought Ryse up to a locked 30fps which is why it was harshly criticized because a teeny tiny portion of the game dipped under 30fps. Now a game that is built from the ground up for dx12 and the devs that arent worried about frames or resolution will give games that can compete with The order or Uncharted 4.
If true, Phil downplayed it because he didn't want to over promise and then under deliver like how a lot of games get downgrades because things change. Saying small improvements can mean range from something like a 5 frame increase to more detailed textures and lighting with much more dynamic weather effects.
Because if you look at the paper stats, the PS4 is up to 6x or more powerful than the Xbox one, so its super serious stuff that can be added to the PS4.
Hopefully someone else can use this concept for a different game, Hell on earth sounds like an interesting concept, and playing a game as the apocalypse is happening instead of after is also a breath of fresh air.
Yeah, people think that delaying TMCC would have helped a lot, but I'm not sure that even 343 knew how much of a problem they had at launch. The biggest problem is that halo 1 and 2 were from 2 generations ago and sometimes an older game engine is harder to port than a new game engine, kinda like playing an old DOS game on a new gaming computer.
They're only ahead in sales. They think that by making a very simple game that has the best graphics that means they are winning the war. Microsoft actually tries to make ambitious games that arent as simple as making a hallway look detailed and nothing more.
Its like watching Mayweather "dominating" pacquiao, while being the most boring boxer alive. Microsoft might be losing, but they're much more exciting because they know what makes fans excited.
I am confident we can get close to this with both consoles and maybe even the WiiU. It just takes some a good artstyle and a talented dev staff that know how to take shortcuts and we can achieve stuff like this.
In certain games like that Mafia game certain areas were missing textures that looked more last gen compared to the xbox 360 version. This generation its just a couple frames missing or a little bit smoother edges on PS4.
Have you seen Quantum Break, its got more going on than The Order and still has amazing detail. It just so happens that Microsoft goes more for the amibitious type of games that are hard to be photo realistic, while Sony goes more for cinematic style games. Would Infamous look as good as it does if had as much ai as SO.
Was the game not far along into development? Its a game that was guaranteed millions of sales. It looked pretty complete based on the demo, unless the demo was a completely different game from Silent Hills. Hopefully they can reuse the games assets and build it into something else.
Its hard to take them seriously when they don't have a lot of tracks from Eric Clapton or Phil Keaggy.
Same with 343, hopefully they have freedom to make other games like that shanghai game
