If the original Wii was in HD Nintendo woulda had to make the Console more powerful most of the games that came out look horrible graphics wise, the only game that woulda look good in HD is Mario Galaxy.
The proof is in the pudding just look at Mario Kart 8 the game is running at 1080p 60 fps The PS360 is not capable of that.
