What % of games were they before? I bet a lot less then 10%. Remasters and remakes are fine but when 1 out of every 10 games is a remaster and 7 are annual franchises that leaves a giant 2 brand new games to play per 10 based on numbers I just made up.
Seriously though 10% is very high
Mario Kart and the old more arcade like wrestling games from the N64 era are some of the best multiplayer games made. Also love me some Worms.
It depends on who you are. My Wii U is alive and well and probably will be for years to come. My only concern is the longevity of the gamepad. Hopefully I can snag a cheap Wii U in a few years so I have a backup gamepad.
As far as the market goes it probably has a year left of games that will push hardware out of the door so Holiday 2016 will probably be it's swan song
Iwata was technically year to year as well so it doesn't mean he will be gone after 1 year. I assume that he will hold the position until at least after NX has been fully released unless he really angers the controlling base which I think is 35% Nintendo anyway.
I'd guess Wii U.....already have the engine built for it....the fact that it is almost complete probably means he reused 3's assets to tell a new story inspired by the creating of Pikmin 3.....then again what do I know?
The demo is only good for certain times and hours. Not sure the specifics but unless you play at those days and times it wont work and will show server as being down.
Are any of those coming out in the next year? All great games.....I wish they were coming to the Wii U but I'm happy with what it is.
Can't you just switch the control options to analog on the gamepad and use the twin sticks for it. Or is it an issue of just not being comfortable with the gamepad controller?
SMT x FE and Zelda as well for me and a few Indie and VC games I'm waiting on/hoping for.
I'm guessing a couple of additional surprises to round out 2016. Then we will find out exactly what NX is and assuming it replaces Wii U in some fashion....2017 will be all NX and maybe 1 or 2 Wii U titles to start off the year. Next 12 months will be interesting.
Will this lead to a small spike in Splatoon and Wii U sales? It is a very healthy update that some would say, finally completes the game.
Can't wait to test out the new weapon classes
Architecture......if Wii U was X86 it would still get 3rd party support too. It's easier to make a game for PC, PS4, XB1. I think the biggest thing that hurt Wii U 3rd party support was when Sony switched to X86
This would be awesome in a Star Wars game! Flying the Millenium Falcon with the pro controller attacking the empire. Your buddy on the couch with the gamepad controlling the gun turret keeping Tie Fighters off your back side.
I can't wait to see how this turns out. Too bad so many gamers will flip out over the change and proclaim more hate for the system.
Yep, DS, 3DS, and Wii sure did underwhelm.....no sales, no games, probably the 3 worse consoles next to Virtual Boy.....another Nintendo flop. Weird they have so much money for being such a horrible company.
Did Nintendo make fun of your momma or something? Why all the vengeful hate? At least if your gonna be a troll be a funny troll!
I could see Diddy Kong Racing being a launch title when NX shows up if NX is backwards compatible with Wii U. MK8 could receive more DLC to lengthen it's life and DKR is different enough from MK to be a great launch title.
Europe has an excellent week of VC for Wii U this week....I hope this is a sign of things to come.....and I hope NA will be following the trend
Do we even know this is a bad game yet? Seems like a game that has some potential. A multiplayer shooter from Nintendo for the 3DS when they just had sucess with Splatoon on Wii U. Imagine Nintendo branching out into other genres. THE HORROR!. So sorry it isn't Prime 4.
I liked the muppets.....best part of the digital event. The rest was just meh but that's ok. I don't need Nintendo to be anything other then what they are. They make some of the best games and as long as they keep doing that, I will be a happy gamer
Or they value their work. Why would anyone pay full price for a video game when you know you can get it in 3 months for half the cost. Nintendo is the only company who maintains the value of their brand. Meanwhile I can pick up every UbiSoft game 3 months out for $19.99.
They just didnt have much to announce....whether their developers have moved on to the NX or they just don't have enough info to reveal what is going on with early developed titles....it was a boring presentation......although I loved the Muppets!
Still plenty of games for me and my tastes coming this fall and winter. Hopefully 2016 has a few surprises
Percentages are easy to skew toward what you want them to say, but I disagree that it isn't relevant. What we are falling into is annual franchises, remakes/remasters, and indies. We aren't getting as many of the "non AAA games" because the lesser studios are making remasters instead. Indies help make up some of that but in general we just aren't getting the same type of diversity of retail games as we use too.....that's my opinion anyway.
I und...
