Neither Nintendo's nor Microsoft conference were in any way mind blowing. Sony's wasn't terrible, the conference was short but they also had a hour long pre show where they showed a lot of games.

Microsoft tried to pass off timed exclusives, many of them indie games as exclusives. Indies having short time exclusivity on one or the other console is pretty common, PS4 has lots of them too. They showed pc footage for Metro. And we find out later that many of the ga...

They did the conference the same way they did it last year and last year they were praised by most everyone for it, the only thing is that this year the Sony conference showed less and it was shorter. But they showed a lot of games in the hour long pre show. probably should have started the show at 5pm pacific and combined the pre show stuff with the actual conference. Wasn't as good as last year but it wasn't terrible.

The real reason Sony doesn't want to do this particular form of cross play, in my opinion, is that you have to connect through Xbox Live in order to participate. Microsoft will use it to say they are the most used online service, probably the whole reason Microsoft are doing this, also buying the developers of Minecraft was part of this plan all along. This whole thing is to benefit Microsoft, they probably new that Sony would not go along with it to begin with. It's all kinda of shad...

Yes, a lot of current Xbox One owners will trade up for the Xbox One X. Problem is it does not increase the install base, Microsoft will be able to show some good sales numbers early on, but replacing an old console with a new one, like I said does not increase install base and you have to increase install base to sell more games. Also mainstream consumers will not pay $499.99 for a console, average consumer uptake has never taken off until a consoles price hits around $299.99. PS4 pro is pr...

You are pretty dumb if you got that from my comment.

Really stupid business move then, to build an expensive console (not a consumer friendly price) in the second half of a generation and not expect an uptake in adoption of the console.

At least we know why Sony did it, to try to increase the adoption of 4k tv's. PS4 Pro may not have been the best idea either.

Still seems to me that the Xbox One X was just a reaction to PS4 pro, especially when it was announced with the Xbox One S (soon to be released c...

Microsoft could sell Xbox fanboys crap on a platter, and they would say it is the greatest.

Microsoft, smoke and mirrors crap needs to go, the over hyping and not delivering has to go. Crackdown 3 looked nothing like what was promised, so they hire an actor to gloss over that.

22 exclusives, Release exclusive, EXCLUSIVE. So dumb and dishonest.

$499.99 not a mass market price. Many of the so called 22 exclusives are timed exclusives. Xbox One X enhanced games didn't look any better than PS4 Pro enhanced games, and the regular PS4 is still selling better, better than PS4 pro and better than Xbox One S.

Xbox One X will not help make up ground against PS4.

I would not be surprised if Sony lowers the price of the PS4 Pro to $349.99.

Why are they acting like this is something special and they are doing something that's never been done. Development kits are available for all consoles, pretty much always have been, So deceptive.

Total ram on my rig is 40gb of ram. The minimum gaming PC has at least 12gb of ram. Not going to make that much difference, if at all. Plus the Scorpio's CPU is going to hold it back.

Things that will be improved from Xbox One to Scorpio will be draw distance, resolution, FPS, lighting and shadows and most games will not have all the improvements at once especially if they go with true 4K resolution which is a resource hog, any honest PC gaming would tell you that the ...

PS3 did not sell well at $599.99 or $699.99, they didn't really start moving systems til the prices were lowered to $299.99 and $399.99 shortly after release, the price was lowered quickly because of low sales. Had the PS3 not been priced so high in the beginning it may have beaten Xbox 360 in sales much sooner, even so PS3 had higher software sales worldwide almost from the beginning, Xbox 360 software sales came mostly from english speaking countries. Plus we all know that much of the s...

Neither of the games ran well at 8k, they ran smooth when there was no gameplay pretty much. Isn't 8k overkill when the extreme amount of resources required to run games at that resolution could be used in other more important ways. Even 4k only makes a real difference when you are sitting close to the screen. HDR which does make a huge difference and is not nearly as resource hungry goes virtually untalked about.

This doesn't sell new TV's/Monitors or graphics...

Recore needed much more work before they released it and it is still unfinished many months after it's release, Dead Rising 4, big disappointment, Quantum break pretty good but a technical let down. Sunset Overdrive, second worst Insomniac game made. Three of those are not first party developed games, they are only published by Microsoft and the other is a half baked game(Recore), which if given the proper support and development time could have been a really great game but as is it is ju...

I disagree, there are many single player experiences, huge AAA experiences to play, granted some have tacked on multiplayer but for most, they are buying and playing the games for it's single player content. there is a huge audience for single player games on console and gaming PC's. What makes it seem like like multiplayer service type games is the majority is people playing games on smart phones and tablets, where most of the games are free to play with pay to play options. I think ...
