I would agree that GTAIV is tasteless, but so is most adult comedy. These devs aren't taking themselves seriously. And they don't make these games for little kids, they make em for grown @$$ men who rather save $200 real world dollars, get drunk in the house instead of on the streets and get lap dances in the game instead of a place of ill repute where you could get robbed or arrested :)

It'd take a considerable amount of money and space in your gaming area to get both, the price of which would get you another gaming system along with a couple of games. It's unfortunate, I'd be interested in playing both, just can't afford to. Will have to stick with Rock Band.

I read the article where they made that statement. But if MK vs DC turns out to be a blockbuster, I just can't envision them not making another. I'd like to see a hardcore MK on the next gen as well, but they're going to chase the money. And when the well runs dry, they'll go back to their roots after we've been clamoring for it.

...is it might be a long wait. If the game turns out to be as successful as the developers are thinking, they'll definitely go back to the well and put out a MK vs. DC 2, with new characters, new stages, etc. It worked for Marvel/Capcom. That'll push back any M rated MK game at least 2-3 years.

That's a good question. They're taking baby steps with online functionality and fostering community, but we are a long ways away.
Were it not for the watered down 'finishers' (not bothering with the phrase "Fatality" anymore), this game would be on the level of outstanding. The graphics look sharp, the gameplay mechanics and the new features put into it are innovative, and even the idea of a two tiered story mode (notwithstanding the "It's Magic!" lines) is a creative take on things in a fighting game. I'm going to give it a chance, but I know some hardcore MK'ers who wouldn't touch it with a ten foo...
