Maybe a couple games a generation deserve perfect scores. There will obviously never be a perfect game but I guess we just need to grade on a curve here.
And wtf is up with review systems these days. 7.5 or so has become the AVERAGE score. Game can either be mediocre generic garbage or be great for the niche it appeals to at that score. 5 should be average and still worth playing. Games need much lower scores these days because you'd think average would mean still enjoyable. 5 ...

Well that's the perfect SKU setup imo if the 160GB has full hardware backwards compatibility.
40GB - $399 stripped down with no b/c.
80GB - $499 main model and mostly b/c.
160GB - $599 or $699 high end model with full b/c and more ports.
Well most people aren't going to care about b/c anyways and wouldn't even notice. Especially at this point where PS3 has plenty of games and tons more coming. And they're probably gonna add in software b/c at some point anyways. The 80 GB version just has the PS2's GPU and runs most games. Should release a 160GB high end model with full hardware b/c and extras now though. Would make a good 3 tier system.
360 Core doesn't have either so I'm not really seeing what the problem is...
That video was a horrible comparison.... %90 of it was a damned loading screen. You can tell nothing from it period.
Well the problem in a war shooter is that you're just some grunt getting shot at who really wouldn't know much except the mission. They do need to be a lot more realistic though. Medal of Honor is a joke these days.... AI and they way you play feels the same as the early PS2 games.

Nvidia will just drop prices and have a new core coming this fall anyways. This is nothing special. I'm just gonna buy whatever gives me the best bang for the buck around christmas time and that's probably gonna be Nvidia.

Yeah I agree completely. A PS3 launching this holiday would just blow the other 2 away completely. I can't even imagine how crazy people would go if Resistance, Motorstorm (both with more dev time), Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Rachet and Clank, were all launch exclusives with a $399 price point. Probably could've added more RAM and an upgraded GPU too to give it a definite edge over 360. Would've been #1 within a year even after being 2 years behind. At this point Sony is playing catch up badl...
