The next question is: which physical format are they going to use? Are they now going to stick with regular Bluray discs for the Series X? A UHD Bluray won't be "forward compatible" on half of the XBox Ones out there since they don't have the disc drive to support it. And if they stick with regular Blurays for everything then the game most likely won't have the beefed up settings needed to take advantage of the Series X unless they make the game with four discs in the pa...
Sony's 20th PlayStation Anniversary theme was perfect. You should check it out. I had it on my PS4 for the longest time
At $399, with all of the goodies they've already talked about, I don't see the GPU being any more powerful than 8-9tflops, like the rumours suggest. I am, however, still in the belief that they'll have a more expensive option right out of the gate with more gpu power, though, probably priced a couple hundred more or so. That way they can cater to everyone and not have to sacrifice the vision they have for the PS5 platform
The gameplay I thought was a lot of fun once you figured out the mechanics, but it was the level up system that threw me for a loop the entire game. I could never figure out how to level up. It was almost like it was random whenever the game decided it wanted you to be the next level. Thankfully, it got me to the level I needed to beat the game!
This may be a contentious viewpoint, but get a gaming laptop. Tons of awesome options from $800-$1300 these days and you can take your gaming wherever you want to go, and can play every game that comes to PC. Plus, you get all of the other multipurpose features of having Win10. I take the thing everywhere and game everywhere I go. Just keep an HDMI and gaming controller in your bag and you're all set! I also have a PS4 but don't play it much right now because of the laptop.
Factions is one of the best online modes in a game I've ever played
Titles like this make me want to skip this site entirely and find another site to go check the device's specs out on. To each his own, just not a fan of clickbaity titles like this. Something with no name recognition is not going to kill the Switch
I still go to the last Blockbuster Video in existence all the time :-) I never rent games though, just their great backlog of old movies. Still a cool experience every time I go
I don't see VR really taking off until we get a PSVR headset that can do what the Quest can do now, but do it better. Once there's a PlayStation branded headset, with it's worldwide brand recognition, that you can take on the go AND plug in wherever you have a PS4/5 for more power, then VR will always be stuck in that "not really niche, not really mainstream" rut. I love my PSVR, but I also understand it will never get the developers' budget of mainstream gaming unti...
I've always wanted Sony to move its R1 and L1 buttons to where the middle fingers lie, underneath the controller. I've never been able to use both shoulder buttons on the same side at the same time without getting hand cramps. To me, moving them underneath would make all of the buttons on the controller accessible simultaneously
All Sony and Microsoft need to do is make their unveilings of their prices tactical and informative. If they just go out there and say, "our new console is $599," then there will be blowback on it. If they go into saying it will have this and this and this, which are all substantial upgrades, and we're cramming it into this box for such and such amount less than what it would cost in a PC, then they could win people over with the higher prices. Some people may still not be able ...
Atari 2600. M*A*S*H, River Raid, Pitfall, Boxing, Maze Craze all the way!
$40 games.
It's best for Sony to focus on making high quality home console experiences and then work on perfecting Remote Play to be able to play those games wireless and on the go. Best of both worlds if they get it going really well. I've tried out Remote Play a few times and am pretty impressed with it so far. It just needs a little more work for it to be a game changer.
Oh how I would love to have a LAN party again. Haven't hosted one in probably ten years now
Johnny 5 back to kick more balls into outer space
A racing game with unmanageable input lag? At least all 40 players will be playing with the same amount of lag; if 40 people even pick this game up on Stadia. Last week I forgot to switch my TV over to Game Mode while playing Mario Kart and was losing nearly every match-up. I finally realized my error, switched it back over, then started winning most races again. This going to be the Achilles heel of cloud gaming. Single player adventure games, sure, but twitch gameplay games are going to suf...
Some of my best, most memorable gaming when I was a kid was during the hours of 22:00 and 03:00 on Friday and Saturday nights! And I never had any gaming addiction issues. It's all in moderation, and when you are afforded many different hobbies (which these kids probably don't get to have, based on where they live), you never have to worry about such things. I guess I'm just glad I never had to deal with communist laws
I'm excited to see how both him and Shu perform in their new positions. Shu did a great job at WWS. I think he will thrive in his new position too by bringing in all the new indie talent.
Attack, Attack, Dodge. Attack, Attack, Dodge. Works every time!
