Sadly, I could not secure a PS5 pre-order. But I'll get a PS5 asap. Going to be a great upgrade from my PS4 Pro. All my friends in gaming are also ordering PS5. So the party will roll on.
I am very much looking forward to playing this game. I watched a few twitch streams to see it in action. So far it looks as if will do a fine job of living up to the legacy of Baldur's Gate titles. Larian Studios was a find choice for developing this game.
Word is the XsX is very quiet when it's turned off and only room temp when off too.
Frankly Obsidian is better at RPG's than Bethesda. Bethesda has underwhelmed for years now.
It doesn't bother me Zenimax was purchased by MS. At this time I'll still be getting a PS5 first once I can pre-order one. I'll probably just use my PC still for any MS exclusives.
Yep same. PS5 & PC. I own an X1x but it'll be my final Xbox. I don't have a compelling reason for myself to subscribe to Gamepass. As for Bethesda Game Studios, I think the last game I really enjoyed they developed was Skyrim. If Elder Scrolls VI is great then I'd consider buying it outright for PC but likely not subscribe to GP just for that. Same for Starfield. Too much unknown on that game to date.
I agree. I think it's an acceptable console price point but not shockingly low. It met expectations for most.

I don't see how EPIC wins this battle. I think it is unlikely EPIC will dictate through the courts what how Apple runs their store. The outcome makes no difference to me either way but I imagine Apple's legal team will prevail.
I do want healthy strong competition in the industry. But it seems apparent that MS is going a different direction. MS is interested in content for XGP eventually moving to a streaming dominated service. I just don't see any reason for myself to switch from PS to XBox leading into this next gen. I suspect very few will.
I agree. Sony takes a cut of all MTX offered through their store. e.g. Fortnite MTX, season passes, etc Sony gets a cut.
No thanks. Not interested in XGP. I have the service till Feb 2021 as it cost me $2 for 14 months last winter. But I won't bother renewing. I rarely play any of the titles and I am surely not interested in streaming games to my mobile phone.
It's better PR for MS if they can convert customers to XGP. This service is built to entice people to use MS xCloud or download games. You are more likely to buy DLC or other such addon products if you can play the base game for a flat fee. That is where MS hopes to make their money back. Bear in mind xgp excludes expansions and other mtx. So MS will increasingly rely on such additional purchases after someone subscribes to xgp.
All these supposed "leaks". Leak implies it is secret knowledge not meant to be divulged to the public. It's just a form of marketing to make people think this is special information. There is no surprise that consoles will be available in different colors.

Yes, Competition is good for all consumers. For me, I will buy a PS5 as soon as I can get hold of one. I owned a X1x but will likely just use my pc to play future XB exclusives which look entertaining. I am happy for XB owners. Maybe they will have some good years ahead. At the same time I fully expect nearly all of my PS4 friends will be joining me on PS5.
