said themselves that they want to have stand alone BD players at 299 this year. Most likely during the holidays. The 40 gig usually falls right in line with that price. They're going to need to have lower prices for the holidays, especially with a soon to be reduced price 360.
With a 360 price drop coming very soon, I would expect Sony to follow suit eventually. A 360 drop in US, their homeground, will help their sales I would imagine. Sony would almost have to drop the price in time for the holidays.

you score everything from a 10 to an 8. With the online being a 7. Then you give the whole game a 7.5. Then you say you don't like handing out 10's and feel a 5 is average. Yet you gave the game a 10/9/8.5/8 for its separate parts.
You may not have liked where the story went, but that should reflect more so in your scoring of the single parts. You understand your "single parts" aren't equaling your "whole" right?

When I think of catch up, I think of gaining ground. Infact, all Sony was able to do was cut the amount of consoles they lose by. Nintendo is still gaining on Sony.
it was a spike from MGS4. 80k one week. Then 20k the next. Then 18k after that. Its nice the PS3 sold well due to MGS4, but even with that game, all it could do is cut the amount of consoles the Wii is gaining on the PS3.
I hate the Wii and its a freaking monster. If FFXIII comes out after another price drop and Japan still doesn't start buying the PS3 more consistently, I think its safe to say the Wii will kill everything in Japan.
I want to go for a second run through the game to get the solar gun and all the masks from the B&B crops. Then I want to do the game on hard and in under 5.5 hours. I don't want to start that until trophies though. lol
I also want to play uncharted again but am waiting on trophies.
as far as firmware is concerned? It doesn't sound like it, otherwise it would be a 2.41 release. I'm assuming then that those of us who already have it don't need to re-load it.

had a lot of time for development. It was supposed to launch along with the PS3 launch. It was pushed back over a year.
the game underwhelmed plenty of people. It looks good. Has really nice lighting, but I think in general people were expecting more.
Halo 4. I was really curious to see what Bungie would do with a newly built from the ground up title though.

All of my other movies have been bought off of Amazon. Prices are at least 15% cheaper online. Most likely more.
