mario kart and smash take a lot of time to make and considering smash and mario kart will be getting dlc next year its fair to say we might not get a smash or mario kart on NX. also youre talking as if nintendo outsources games in full...they do not...nintendo is still always very much involved and in control when the outsource. namco helped program sure but it was sakurais plans decisions and he personally balanced the game.

i sort of agree. ive been vocal about how i hate that people feel they shouldnt have to buy consoles every few years when they dont take that same attitude towards tablets and cellphones. iphones are like $700 and so are ipads and people buy those every two years but buying a console every 4-5 years is considered ridiculous?
thats kinda the point i was making...they need to focus on developing their own adult oriented shooters and story driven games and sports games while also funding exclusives from 3rd parties....this will secure 3rd party games like CoD, AC, street fighter and GTA in the future...they also need a division that exclusively only work on remakes/remasters because nintendo is sitting on a bunch of game series that could be reimagined or simply remastered and fine tuned in hd.
i saw somewhere that nintendo is still going to use power pc architecture...its all rumors at this point but that was definitely one of them.

i still stand by my opinion that a more powerful console is not going to bring 3rd party back to nintendo. remember back in the day when their were sports games and shooters exclusive to nintendo consoles? that is what nintendo has to do. they have to develop or atleast fund exclusives in all genres and show companies like 2k and EA and capcom and ubisoft that their games will sell on nintendo platforms....nintendo has to channel their inner Hal Laboratory and RARE and create not just M rated...
according to quotes the NX will release the handheld part first then the console...also if the report is true that nintendo is just now releasing dev kits there is no way NX is releasing next year...i can maybe see the mobile version releasing next year but even that seems too soon. we will get a full review at E3 and we will probably get a sneak peek at games but probably not because i can see nintendo wanting the focus to be more on zelda and maybe even starfox if that still hasnt been rele...

replay value is a big one to me....but i look at it like this...when you go to an amusement park you pay $20-50 for 1 ticket and get anywhere from 2-8 hrs of entertainment but...so yeah...the value is based on what your into tho
