That's gotta be the funniest Internet-originated word since "butt-hurt"
Hey, Mitch, throw yourself on that list of fail while you're at it...
"Once Mitch throws his two cents in, 5 million people will hit disagree"
"70% of respondents citing the fact that there's a physical disc to keep as a key factor in their decision to buy Blu-ray."
....as to why Digital Distribution will NEVER be a commonplace format for movies. Hard Drives can be corrupted, have mechanical and data failures, and simply put, if this happens all of your movies are now gone, doomed to be re-downloaded at the cost of massive amounts of time, bandwith (considering most ISPs are now imposing Gestapo-like restri...
Oh darn. I think the world is a bit of a better place now, considering they were responsible for the games based off of both "Jumper" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks". SAW wouldn't have been anything great coming from this company anyway, or any other company for that matter.
I just don't see "Saw" converting very well into a game, except for a point-and-click adventure, which have, sadly, gone the way of the dinosaur.
I don't see why Midway got all gung-ho about a "T" rating for this game. Where's the over-the-top blood and fatalities?
I think you'll find them in the last MK game, you'll also find Midway's balls there too. This game reminds me of one of those knock-off bloody fighting games that came out a long time ago and TRIED to be Mortal Kombat, like War Gods or Bio-Freaks or something.
Does everyone still care about Guitar Hero?
Personally, after GH3 and Rock Band, I had my fill of the ridiculous "pseudo-musician" games. The only reason all of these artists are leaping on to support Guitar Hero is because they found a new way to help stop the leak in their wallets from everyone stealing their music.
You buy a track, Sony and MS get a cut, Activision gets a cut, and the artist/record label gets a cut. Not sure about dividing a few ...
My brother picked this game up last week, and he's hooked on it.
I've been playing the demo myself and found this to be a nice change of pace compared to the half million FPS's that either came out or are coming out.
It plays well and requires a lot of strategy, especially later in the game. And the price drop just makes it an even better deal. This is probably Sega's best game they've come out with over the past few years.
...by Luddites trying like hell to discourage progress yet again. There should be a law against behavior like that.
BD is NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!! If anything, Major studio support for DVD will drop within 2-3 years, "why?" you ask? The same reason anti-BD idiots are screaming about, piracy.
DVD is FAR too easy to exploit and crack. And while Blu-ray is also cracked, the cost of blank BD's are too costly to be worth burning. (and yes, I take into cons...
Thank you for the DVD/VHS 10-year fact. It seems to me that getting that fact through people's heads around here is harder than cutting metal with paper
tplarkin7, I take it you're artistically uninclined.
There is such a thing as "calmer colors"....it's called not being so bright they burn into my screen.
next time you decide to be like that, take it to the Open Zone. They'd love you.
I've never understood (or trusted) sarcasticgamer at all. But with every AAA title, there's gonna be someone scrounging around for reason to hate on it to get some attention on "teh internets"
....and she doesn't seem to be THAT bad of a person. She was quick to acknowledge her mistake and she quotes "All of the gamers of the world hate me now", and it sounded almost like it genuinely hurt her.
Not that I'm defending misinformation, but as the saying goes:
"The only mistakes are the ones left unfixed"
Saints Row 2 is easily what GTA4 should've been. I had a blast playing through it, and while it was only just under 20 hours, I had one hell of a time during that 20 hours.
Please crawl back to Kotaku, Crecente, I can smell you from here.
....an FPS pulling it's epic weight. Double digit hours? This could be interesting.
I can see Metacritic temporarily disabling user scores.....I can only hope if it happens, it's permanent.
I, for one, saw the original fatality video of the Joker and it got me all ready to play this game when it came out.
But now that Midway's knees are buckling under the fear of getting slapped with an "M" rating (which they didn't seem to have issues with in the past), it only makes me wonder what else they're gonna do to ruin what could've been a fantastic crossover fighter had they only stuck to their guns.
It's all fine and good that you wanna try to get that point across, trust me, I've been trying for years, but there's a time and place for a comment like that, and a story like this didn't quite seem like the place.
a 360 site running a big story about Sony's losses.
Didn't see that coming.....
I gotta agree with GWAVE a little ways up there.
I have noticed that (on N4G anyway), whenever a company shows support for the PS3, they're "fanboys" but when a company shows support for the 360, it's always a "smart business move", or they're "exploring their options".
The headline is a total fail, however. Just making an observation.
