EA has been moving out of the shadow of their Sports side of gaming. Will Halo Reach affect sales of the Call of Duty of 2010 and Gears of War 3? I kind of think that people that buy a certain game will always buy that game. Generally exclusive games get a sort of protection in that way regarding their fans, as they are more invested in that franchise because it is an exclusive.
I don't think God of War III will match Uncharted 2 in the same ways, but instead improve on other aspects not often thought of. I say this because when you choose to make a 60 FPS game over a 30 FPS you need to make some sacrifices in detail, same goes with making a Sandbox game over a Linear one.

RE5 kind of just took a turn for the worst because of the change in game directors and the lack of evolution in the controls/story. Most of which I blame on the change of game directors as it affected the game as much as changing directors from Terminator 2 to Terminator 3.
Well I'll look forward to whatever Shinji Mikami chooses to do now, it sadly seems like he won't be returning to the RE franchise. :/
Joe Mad is the Creative Director. Pass. His characters have always been ridiculous looking and will always be ridiculous sounding. You can choose better titles than this, such as Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, No More Heroes, God of War III and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

I liked L4D2 more than I ever liked L4D, in fact I hated L4D because it was just a Counter-Strike zombie bot mod refined into a full game. I finally started to warm up to the franchise after playing L4D2 at a friend's house, precisely at the end of Dark Carnival.
So we are clear, L4D2 is pretty much what you payed for with L4D, only better. Same amount of levels, same lack of story, same endless zombie killing but with new characters/weapons/enemies/onl ine-modes.

Well I guess Mario is Micky Mouse and Link would be Donald Duck when it comes to mainstream success. Although Donald is unique in many respects, people will always love Micky more than Donald. However, this is Video Games and the Zelda series can do better serving the hardcore.
Your asking a company that charges for playing online to give something for free? Really?
They already do their best with the 3 year warranty, some may argue that's not good enough but you generally know what your getting into by now when you purchase a console, its like picking a car from a car company.
For a console in first place their still doing pretty well. The dry spell will finally break for the hardcore as Mario & Metroid launch next year fellas, maybe even Zelda too!
Also some decent games like Red Steel 2 and No More Heroes 2 are set to release.

If Wii sales do hit a major slump, I'm sure we'll see in 2011 the announcement of a next Nintendo console. Since the Nintendo isn't tied down to 3rd party publishers and if they have reached their peak on the Wii they may as well start fresh. However the Wii is still selling well, maybe not as great as before but its not exactly loosing to the PS2.
