I remember back in the PS3 and 360 days I would download and watch all the game trailers. I think we lost those type of features in the current gen.
I'm surprised modern consoles don't have widgets that you can add to the dashboard like on android. On my modded original xbox it has a weather section on the dashboard. A strictly gaming news app would be nice but I have a feeling it would turn into a way to spread political messages.
Before I sold my launch PS4 to GameStop it was getting noticeably louder than it used to so I took it apart and cleaned the dust out but it didn't change the volume levels at all. I assume either the fan was going bad or it's the thermal paste. My PS4 Pro was only loud during certain games, I don't remember it being a problem though but that was a new Pro when I had it. My X1X is definitely quieter than both but time will tell if it get's louder.
I have a feeling Xbox One and PS4 consoles will continue to be supported long into the next the generation as far as indie/third party games and firmware updates. It's easier to maintain one version of a operating system than creating multiple. I know the new Xbox is going to have a new boot screen like the One X had it's own but other than that I would be surprised if the interface was much different.
I doubt the UI will be any different than what's already on Xbox One.
I feel the same way especially the console design. Its the same with Microsoft's games too. It was completely different when the PS4 gen started and it felt like I needed it at launch.
I didn't see anything that didn't look like it could run on PS4.
You must of never seen a PS2 if you think that looks anything like it, even the new Xbox looks closer to the PS2 than that.
It looks worse than the dev kit lol.
I've loved all of Sony's designs from the PS1 to PS4 and PSP but this is the first one that I think looks terrible. Definitely turned me off from buying it at launch though I reluctantly will have to eventually for the exclusives.
I pre-ordered the first game on PS4 and I liked the first half of the game but I didn't like the ending, I never played more than a few minutes of the DLC. I was interested in part 2 when they announced it but the outside drama made it a buy when it's cheap title for me if it gets good reviews.
We need a parody with zombie giraffes saving Joel lol.
@TheRealTedCruz Yeah that's honestly why I've been falling out of gaming lately, at least modern games.
If your into using custom firmware the game did just get a HD patch.
The only reason I don't like PC gaming is the lack of physical media but if your not into that to begin with I don't see a reason not to game on PC.
If something looks like shit I don't care how much effort was put into it I'm not faking my opinion.
I haven't liked a interface as much as I liked PSP and PS3 to this day. I still like the videos and music that play when you hover over a game, makes it feel more premium.
Depends on the game type, I know Minecraft Dungeons hardly looks different between my 4K tv and my 1080p tv. Games like COD and other games with realistic textures there is a good amount of detail gained to make 4K worth it but not if you have to sacrifice framerate to hit that higher resolution. Also if the game has terrible anti-aliasing it can make a huge difference in that regard.
I'm surprised this game is still getting updates, didn't their battle royale fail terribly?
I wonder how it compares to the PS4 Pro. Both the PS4 and Pro required me to adjust some stuff to make more space but my fat PS3 and X1X fit perfect on my setup.
