Happy for Connor McDavid and the Oilers, however after watching the Penguins win back to back Stanley Cups, this cover is kind of an "FU" from EA: https://youtu.be/PRHWYvcsl1...
I really enjoyed the 2013 reboot. Probably my favorite game of it's kind since both UC2 & RE4.
The most recent version (20th Anniversary) is an absolute train wreck in terms of story and suspension of disbelief. While the visuals are gorgeous, the story is a mix of positively implausible and completely bananas.
One more thing, E3 2016 is the first time that hotels no longer allowed you to book your rooms a year in advance. In the past, at the close of E3, we'd re-book all rooms right on Figueroa Blvd.
When we tried to do it at the end of E3 2015, our standard hotel (plus others) were no longer booking that far out. Apparently they were waiting to find the dates for the show themselves so they could crank up demand and prices accordingly.
I'm surely not ...
I had been going since the late 90's (between LA and Atlanta) and have to say that (last year's announcements aside) E3 has been a loss leader for our business. We used to meet with vendors in rooms on the floor and get actual business hammered out. Now it's a veritable bataan death walk-a-thon between meeting rooms and, without Kentia Hall, there's very little you see at the show which isn't covered by 8 billion websites.
My shirt just caught on fire from this flamebait. Must remember to put on my flame retardant suit before visiting N4G on Sunday mornings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"[The Last of Us] is amazing only because of the story, the cinematics, and the graphics. The gameplay is average and repetitive like Uncharted in my opinion."
Funny how, just a few comments before this one, you express your love over the new Tomb Raider for XBoxOne. A game with beautiful visuals, an average story and similarly repetitive gameplay. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every time I see these numbers swell I'm happy. I love what Crystal Dynamics has done with Tomb Raider but can't help but think that the money that was lost in this exercise is staggering.
Conservatively speaking, if TR was released across all platforms and had sold to 10% of Sony's PS4 install base (not counting PS3), SquareEnix could have seen an additional 3,500,000 units sold. That's nearly 4x the amount that was sold on Xbox360 and XboxOne combined an...

That's what I first saw too, Eternalb! The Lady D character has a John K vibe as well.
Outside of Atlus, WayForward and a few other devs, it's hard to find stylized 2D artwork.
Another quick item to note is that the developers are a husband and wife duo out of Prince Edward Island (one of them an ex-Disney animator) and that this is their very first game together.

I'M THANKFUL FOR being down to one console and one handheld this generation. The money I've saved from not owning all three has been a lifesaver and feeling a sense of camaraderie from other console owners has been something I've missed from the days of the early 90's.
Thankful to have "Blast Processing vs. Mode 7" level discussions and to know I'm right because there's no way I picked the wrong console...
...right?
I'M THANKFUL FOR the fact I run my own business and can start drinking whenever I want...
...it's been a tough year...
Just played the first Uncharted again after picking up the collection and was shocked how much of a 'cover shooter' the game really was. The story and dialog was what I mainly remember about that experience which still holds up nicely (as a B-movie romp). I don't really think Uncharted has changed too much from it's original source but memory (mine included) is a fickle thing.
Looking forward to Uncharted 4 as that team at Naughty Dog really knows how to sp...
This is my exact experience as well, Bathyj.
All my multi-platform titles were purchased on Xbox360 and I burned through five systems from 2006-2012. I stopped powering up my 360 after the L4D DLC fiasco and focused on a PS3 backlog while I waited for the next gen announcements. I was one foot out the door when the initial E3 press conference happened.
Thanks for sharing your experience as I know there are scores of others that have followed the same path a...
The best response I've seen to people giving this game high marks is that, "these reviewers could go to the beach and not see women or water".
Here's the link to a *slightly* more accurate video review.

Thanks, nowitzki2004. Journey was definitely a cathartic experience. I wound up actually purchasing this statue the same day I played through the game.
Definitely a top 10 game experiences of all time kinda thing.
I lost my dog of 14 years of last week and, one day later, Journey released on PS4.
Three hours of breaking down in tears while playing through the game, I can honestly say that Journey broke me as well.
@Emperor, you are 100% correct on this. Devs WANT to give him keys because of his sub count and because he's one of the biggest names in the business.
I've been in way too many online games where I'd been called a "n****r f****t" and I don't believe that is acceptable in any way shape or form. But filing DMCA takedowns and getting lawyers salivating at creating new rules for streamers and their content isn't the answer.
