MGSR is not only going to be a hit on Xbox 360, it's also going to open Kojima to further use of the platform as they'll already have extensive work and knowledge of the hardware.

MGSR could lead to ZOE on Xbox 360. And it's not exactly the first time they've worked on it either; Rumble Roses XX showed off some insanely detailed and well choreographed female fighters for being a 2005 first gen Xbox 360 game.

Xbox 360 does not have "dated PC parts". It's actually a very forward-thinking design, as all graphics processors have gone unified since the Radeon HD 2xxx series and later the GeForce 8 series. PS3's RSX gpu is actually closer to the 7 series of prior standard shader array equipped gpus.

On topic, MGSR is going to be where MG can take a new direction. "Lightning Bolt Action" doesn't exactly mean that they're going to ditch the MG style. Personally I would th...

Maybe x-ray vision, or some visor add-on like in Metroid Prime.

How about sonar vision! Or some lame morph ball costume suit so we can roll around while it tracks us :P

It's new technology and with that comes a price. So it's fair if you have the money and want to experience something new. Of course I won't be getting it anytime soon, but if I do have plans I'll be once again playing the part of the cost conscientious gamer and going with whatever is affordable.

Not that its on topic but Forza MS 3 looks amazing, and so did Forza MS 2. The Forza series is all about meeting the same expectations in quality as any good simulation driving game. They also built the greatest online community and car customization options in any racing game, period. I liked NFS Underground (and after) and Midnight Club 3 Dub because of their customization options.

They're nice screens, good for making huge posters and stuff like that.

I remember when you had to pay for any decent looking poster sized prints and artwork of a game. Now they ARE the art :)

50% of PS3 isn't real. Rendering 1280x720 with any antialiasing takes space, it's called the framebuffer. Working with all of pixels and vertices onscreen takes power, it's called shader resources. Loading game assets takes memory.

You can't nail down usage as a single percentage for the entire system ALL THE TIME. For instance, to use only 50% of the RSX gpu would mean they're only using 12 of the 24 pixel shaders and only 4 of the 8 vertex shaders. To use only 50% of memory wou...

This is how you impress PS3 owners; by making them believe their console is suddenly a black hole vortex of power for "only" $600.

Jeez, only 50%...yeah right. 720p and variable 30-60 fps, so...why didn't they go 100% and give us 1080p and 60 fps? Either a) they're screwing gamers over or b) it's not true. Are they saying they only used 256MB of memory, lol?

They make good games but it seems that making games for PS3 entitles them to making hokey statements...

Integrating Hulu into the dashboard is so much better than having to go to a web browser to view the content. Last FM and Facebook on 360 are actually very well made little extensions to the NXE interface, and it all feels just right.

We could use a browser some time soon though, but I'm not dying for one. I guess in the end the features only matter to you if you want them.

Lol, well I'll admit that my total pales in comparison to the numbers you guys claim. I never said I was a collector, just that I didn't leave it at one or two shooters.

Also I was quoting the total I have currently, I must have sold off around 15-20 games over the years that I've owned my Xbox 360. I might add 10 games this year alone, it's just that I don't hold onto old games all that much. Unless they really mean something to me I usually get rid of them before they depreci...

Hm...too good to pass up on, 120GB is plenty of HDD space for game installs and trailers. And you've got both a top notch sim racing game and a superb online multiplayer FPS.

edit: didn't see it only came with one controller, whoops.

It's that stagnation that's actually turned me off from jrpgs over the years. They're trying, believe me there are a few great ones out there. FF XIII should just about satisfy even the most demandng jrpg gamer.

It's sad though, Squeenix might have to rethink how they make FFs after this. Literally they're looking at a candle that burns less brightly if all they want to do is cash in on Japanese interests. We're looking at the possibility of Versus coming out on Xbox 360 in Ame...

Xbox 360 gamers buy games by the millions dude. I don't even need to type anything further, but I myself have 24 games.

The iPad is in a class of devices I can't agree with much on. Personally I wouldn't spend that much on what would essentially be an ebook reader. Everything has to be done onscreen and while that's nice for easy navigation and browsing it's competing with netbooks that have bigger screens, dedicated keyboards, and more power for less.

If you must have a Mac to go, get Hackintosh. Or do what I did, make a Mac Eee out of a cheap $300 netbook (mine is the Eee PC 1005hab).

Sony didn't make PS3 out of any sort of conviction for our entertainment's sake dude. They made PS3 in order for you to buy it and put up with the idea of what THEY wanted video game home entertainment to look like in YOUR home.

The PS3 fanboys just won't leave it alone. It's already been proven that the game looks identical on both consoles minus CG quality (1080p vs 720p) and differences in how your setup makes the game look.

It's $60. You pay, you play, or you pray. Leave the discussion there.

PS3 is 720p gameplay and 1080p movies. PS3 couldnt handle these graphics at 1080, just like it couldn't handle Uncharted 1 or 2 at 1080p, KillZone 2 at 1080p, or God of War 3 at 1080p. All those games are 720p, this one including.

MGSR is about Raiden and will be a different story set in the MG universe. It still has Solid in the title, since Raiden comes from the Solid series.

Definitely looking forward to what Kojima and his team can do on Xbox 360.
