I know what I just said is blasphemy on this site not saying Game of the Century for Uncharted 3 but yes, there are OTHER games on N4G.COM besides Uncharted 3...

Use large HDD or SSD and forget optical media altogether because it's too slow.
Use DVD-9 or HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, who cares JUST TO install the games. Do not run the games on the disk. Have the HDD/SSD run the games.

What you get this generation even PC trailers is games rendered in real time PRE RENDERED using the game engine if they don't pull a CGI move.
The difference being that you will never get that level of fidelity when its rendering in real time game play COMPARED to PRE RENDERING IN GAME ENGINE.
The ONLY game I have seen this generation that had a trailer running REAL TIME ENGINE GAME-PLAY ...
The game looks pure beautiful. This is no CGI folks. This is all in game engine sweetness...
HOWEVER you can clearly tell its pre-rendered in game engine which is VERY different from real time game play using that engine.
People should NOT confuse the two.
There is no hint of aliasing at all. That's a dead giveaway. ALSO THE use of ADOF that you do not see in ANY console game with that fidelity unless its pre rendered is used in this trailer.
I trust that this game from ND will be another top tier title.

All developers lie...but give credit to DICE and BF3 on consoles.
Name another game...EVEN made by ND that has those size MAPS, vehicles, mostly real time effects/lighting/soft shadows and not pre calculated effects that you see on almost all other console games including Uncharted 3 and destruction looking the way it does on consoles?
There is no other game.
Uncharted 3 looks better than BF3 on consoles, BUT its one of the most linear games this gene...
They are comparing console graphics.
If they included PC, it would not be even close. Almost any PC game looks better than most console games.
Look for example Batman:City running on a PC in DX11 mode with PhysX enabled. It looks better than almost all PS3 and Xbox360 games.
Then you have Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 on the PC.
Those games on the PC simply look better than any console game out.
So they compare graphics for consoles.
Batman looks better. Running it in Direct X11 with PhysX enabled looks substantially better than Uncharted 3.
There are many PC games that look better than Uncharted 3. Now me saying this on N4G will most likely get me a restriction ban as i have no more bubbles to be taken.
Good luck to that. Like it or not, digital downloads and cloud gaming will eventually take over. And it is coming sooner than we all think.
Even though Tablets are not dedicated game players lacking dedicated controls, the Tablets released by Asus right now has higher end technology inside it.
You should see the road map for mobile technology in 2012-13 let alone 2014-15.
The Chips inside it will be running on smaller die sizes and will be 5-8 times as fast as the mobile chips inside devices right now. Including the Vita.
That's how fast this mobile technology is moving right...

This is not exactly a bad thing. Look at all the games that are 3D on consoles now:
They have to cut the visual fidelity in all areas to make the game playable.
Until these consoles can run full 3D HD @ above 30+ frames per second WITHOUT sacrificing game visuals, then it is pointless.
Next generation 3D will be the better experience for console gaming.
