you would think with exponentially more powerful consoes emulating their predecessors wouldn't be that tough, and would be a good way of genereating revenue by having classic titles for download, but sadly this doesn't seem to be the case

you have to play the gow games. pure awesome from start to finish:)

on topic, would love to see universal bc implemented, my ps2 deserves to retire and i think a bit of upscaling would make my old games alot more palatable on my hd tv

just got mine earlier this week and it is so much better than any pc laptops i have used. only got the basic 2.1ghz white one because the new aluminium one lacks firewire, spent £30 to get 4gb of ram, installed it myself and now it is awesomely fast :)

i'm loving os x too, highly recommended

Price drop is going to be the biggest factor but I think backwards compatability would make a big difference too, as well as pleasing existing owners like myself

Given that its very easy to change hard drive yourself, its obviously backwards compatability driving the pricing.

Its still an important feature for many; i would love software emulation to come out in the future so i can retire my faithful ps2.

It is unrealistic to think people will discard their favourite old games when they upgrade hardware, and it would be nice to have the ability to relive ps2 classics like the 60gb owners.

If trophy support isn't announced i may have to complain slightly....on the internet. Is there any greater threat than that?

You have been warned Kojima ;)

I really enjoyed the game, plus i seem to recall it already had 'entitlements' or something which were equivalent to the 360 version's achievements.

You'd think it would be a nice straightforward one to patch

I've had my ps3 since march and the increased functionality just since then has been great.

biggest potential improvements for me would be a ps2 emulation feature for the unfortunate 40 gig owners, like myself lol. that and more widespread trophy support, though obviously the firmware for that is now in place, i just wish more games would get patched

the slow burning but longlasting sales of uncharted and resistance seem to show there's something in what your saying, as does the higher position of CoD4, which i imagine was higher on 360 during its release phase but has sustained more even sales for longer on ps3

was waiting for the longest time to find a worthwhile deal having just missed the last of the 60gb ps3s in europe, however my 2001 ps2 is still going strong and i am hoping for software bc on the 40gb in the future, so no worries.

can't wait for it to be delivered, £325 for ps3 w/Drakes Fortune, DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma

anyone recommend some good split screen multiplayer stuff btw?

much appreciated
