The 360 doesn't thrive in Japan, the article says that even though the 360 fails hard in Japan, it succeeds everywhere else. He's saying that 72k is a huuge drop off - which it is from the 300k+ the week before, but the the PlayStation Vita could succeed everywhere else like the 360 does.

If you think about it, though, (Sorry, USD here) with the system being $250, if they require you to buy a separate memory card without it being bundled, the minimum price will be $270, $100 more than the 3DS.
That won't help the system sell, especially since the 3DS is finally shipping out the good games.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought the article was balanced and made sense. If they aren't going to bundle a memory card, but force you to buy an expensive proprietary one on the side, it will make me wait, since there will undoubtedly be good deals in the future. Technically, they still support it. They are part of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), and the ESA currently supports SOPA.
They were just also supporting it independently. Now they only support it along with the group they're a part of.

Correcting you since you're wrong, iPods aren't the same. It doesn't require an internet connection to add/remove files, and it doesn't force every update on you.

However, I still find this concerning. They won't allow you to put files / remove files without an internet connection. If that's truly the case, and they are checking what files you're putting / removing from the PSP, I think that would be .. iffy.

I bought a Kinect. It's genuinely fun, if you get into it. It's definitely not something you can play while trying to not look completely stupid, or something that can be half-assed. It's also a surprisingly good work out.
