What makes me more mad is how well put together all the 'paid for advertising' in the game. The comcast banners don't have glitches, the MLG map looks flawless, yet the content that is SUPPOSE to work doesn't. Not to mention, some of these mistakes and bugs are BASIC programming problems you learn in highschool courses. Maybe they should focus on producing a GAME and not a marketing strategy.
you raise a good point, and you are correct in a lot of your assumptions. But you forgot one simply addition to your equation; fun. Sure GTA IV doesn't compare to some of the more graphically advanced games coming out in the next year for consoles, but it will have the submersive storyline, advanced physics, and multiplayer options i am looking for in the next installment of GTA. You don't like the graphics? Wait for GTA V

"locked up" and "awoke to 3 guys" doesnt make much sense in my eyes. Anyone breaking into my place is going to get a rude awakening. Not to mention, someone breaking in to steal a ps3 (3 guys) would know that they had a ps3 to begin with, so he probably knew the guys.

dont mistake game depth as RPG. RPG's typically have the most depth, FPS are starting to find hacking and slashing just aint cutting it anymore.

my honest opinion; we won't get there. multithreaded processing is useless for everyday applications. People don't need a 3.8 ghrtz computer to type on word. Sure for server end processes, high end graphic computing and simulation. But with recent leaps in quantum computing (which i have high hopes for) i believe the standard chipset may be on it's way out. please keep in mind this is a 40 year time frame...
