***You speak as if MS is the only Platform out there. There's also Sony, there's checks and balances MS moving away from ownership would kill what little they have left already.***

I spoke about Microsoft's plan to undermine Sony. Literally brought it up in my first comment to you above. Please, read all my stuff, not just part of it.

An MTX marvel game not going to consoles would eat massively into their profits. So, you know, it will go there. Or they're dumb. The game is purely about MTX.

Just so you know, words matter.

Last restriction 200d ago for 1 day. Been a lot of chances to discuss this since then. You have an alt account we should talk about?

***Phil wants multiple store fronts on their console. Which would give the console more games, options and different ways to buy and consume. ***

It's only interesting to Epic if they can get all the profits. Just look at how they treat iOS/Android. It's interesting to Microsoft solely because they know Sony wouldn't allow it at the level Epic wants and this would be a reason for people to move over to their console/hardware instead of Sony.

But, yeah, you know, Microsoft totally isn't competing with Sony. Totally.

Too far? No, just more of the same crud that, IMHO and that of others, shouldn't exist. Design games so people don't feel the need that they have to spend money to do basic things in game.

With murderers out there ,why worry about the thieves logic here. We can complain about all things that are bad.

Misleading. This actually says you don't even own the serial number or the disc (because it requires the serial number).

Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.

But if we give you something for free we won't make more money off of you.

I tried having this conversation with some people and they are adamant that if they're optional they're fine. I believe that if it's not a problem, then why do they exist to begin with? If it's not an issue, then not having them is the same as having them, meaning that having them is extra work for something unnecessary.

None of the logic of "it's optional so it doesn't matter" makes sense since something had to be designed to account for p...

The support they've given this game only makes me more interested in their next game.

Let's not conflate one issue (Live Service games eventually being retired) with another (we decide how and what you own, not you). They're both issues, but this one is more severe as it applies to all games they produce, not just ones reliant on servers.

You're buying a key to unlock the digital files, which typically are stored and validated on the storefront from which the game was purchased. This says you don't even own that key, meaning it can be removed for any reason and you can't contest it and neither can the storefront stop it, even if it's a mistake or they just decide to remove access entirely based on their whim. It's the opposite of game preservation, essentially, even for SP games w/o any online requirements....

Not going to feel any compunction about pirating their games, then. Why pay money to own nothing when I can get the same from downloading it elsewhere? If you want my money, give me ownership and not just a subscription to a digital key you can revoke at any time.

It's an okay mediocre shooter-style game with typical RPG bloat. It dragged on way longer than it should have, though. If you're not looking to play only 'the best' it will definitely be enjoyable.

***Did you have the same opinion when Jim Ryan was partying with folk he laid off 24 hours later? ***

I did! Thanks for asking. Sony is also doing layoffs for more profit, not out of need. Thank you for asking! Did you know that I don't like corporate greed in general?!?

The Spice... I mean profits must flow!

And, let's be honest, it's not about the need for profits, it's the desire for even more profit. They weren't losing money, they wanted to make more. It's the greed, not the need.

I think Elda is referring to getting into hardware in the first place. I don't agree. We need more hardware competition, IMHO.

I'm definitely questioning it. Seems entirely unnecessary since there's been no sign of peak optimization by first-party, let alone third. This will just move more focus on more graphics push than fix steady 30fps/60fps modes.
