Its not chaos, it’s a console people want with short supply. They had yield issues, but Sony thinks they can ramp up and get the 11 million made they promised.
The ps5 and Xbox series x are both much better hardware that will play even older games better. Also, cyberpunk 2077 will be head and shoulders better on the new hardware (and probably every other newer game).

iPhone is supported for 6 years and has by far the best soc on a phone every year. Android phones are still slower than last years model and barely get any support. Thats not chaotic at all, in fact its the very same tactic nintendo uses and gets called out for. Very low supply, no chaos. Or in 2020 is clicking buttons on websites to preorder a console considered chaos?
