This is going to start a new frontier in gaming...I think.
I want to be able to go anywhere, do anything within reason, see a living world like what was shown in the trailer in the revealing. All these limitations really suck and is making me not want the game.
This is bull crap. How can you miss a big pile of crap right in front of you. The game crashing out didn't get caught by your engineering team ? You need to change your whole process and methodology in programming, architecting, testing and troubleshooting, or maybe you just need to change the managers and weasels in your company pushing for unfinished games, starting with yourself Mr Andrew Wilson.
When someone promises you cloud, you're probably getting fluff or vapour. Take that with a large helping of salt ;P.
Oops, it's gonna rain.
What happened to all those 300,000 servers dedicated for Xbone ?
Serious question here, not being snarky.
Oh my, is there anyway I can help to hasten them to their untimely fate ?
Of course it matters.
What is the author of this piece smoking ?
Do you like an Audi or a BMW ? Do you prefer the F1 Ferrari team or Mercedes team ? Are you a team supporter for Chicago Bulls or LA Lakers ? Do you prefer blondes or brunettes ? Are you a boobs man or a as*man ?
Hey they all do the things that they are supposed to do right ? But what makes you choose it ?
This author is just looking for clicks. That's my take on ...
You seriously sound like a person who is brainwashed by reading too much of MisterX's blog.
Nothing weird about it. MS is coming out with DX12 to contend against AMD's Mantle, and MS wants to get more power out of the platform so they need to go closer to the metal so to speak. This will be a minor upgrade to DX11.2.
With the latest functions for DX11.2, you most definitely need a modern GPU, nothing new here. Semantics and redundant emphasis o...
Spread the love. You might not want the game, but there are others who are interested in it and want to play it. Why limit choices ?
This game is by a third party developer and a small one at that, they need all the sales they can get.
Also, going multi-platform is a good way to make your game available to more people. That is one reason Insomniac Games made but somehow they went against their reasoning and went back to exclusivity with MS for Sunset Over...
The Gears of War example is not really true. I'm guessing that MS did pay for lifetime exclusivity (if any), or it could be that Epic Games didn't want to go through the hassle of programming for the PS3 due to its unique requirements.
But they did have a change of heart when the PS4 came out, and there was news around stating that they were thinking of bringing Gears of War to the PS4 platform before MS blew a fuse and went and made the offer to buy that game off of...
Your statement gives a connotation that things are good enough, why bother to change. Take an example of education for instance, is getting a C in your English paper a good enough result as you concentrated your studies in acing your math paper or would you strive to make it an A in both papers ?
Why bother doing something if you're going to not strive to make it the best. Why do anything at all, if you're not going to do it right, and do it as perfectly as possible...
The camera is always on if you link it to you box. You can put a tape over the lens but you still have to contend with the mic that is on.
Frostbite is only for EA internal studios use. Third Party developers who are not part of the company aren't allowed to use this engine.
The NSA is holding them back by requiring them to integrate software in to their infrastructure for spying. That alone takes a whole lot of processing power out of the cloud and MS needs to tweak their cloud by another 8% additional power to enable them to achieve 1080p capability and 60 fps on the xbone. Additional capabilities like using the latest software drivers and tiling together with the dGPU, low latency DDR3 is required for this to work. This will allow NSA to take videos, photos, ...
Can't wait for this one. Currently there is a dearth of cyberpunk genre and this will nicely fill up that space for me. :)
Nice specs in your comment. You forgot to mention the GPU processor spec required to churn out that resolution.
The game hasn't even launched and already there are cheaters...man those guys work fast.
Seriously, what else can he say ?
Unless they make this an epic FPS / Flight Combat Simulator / RPG / Adventure / etc. I'd rather wait for Star Citizen. Really hyped up for that game. More so than all others currently making headlines.
What you are talking is absurd. What I am referring to is that I want to be able to walk in to any building and do anything within reason. I want to be able to take a lift in to the 5th floor of a building, go into an apartment in said building. Go into a shop, buy an item from the shop. Let it appear in my inv or my apartment, take different routes or solutions to solving the case, etc.
It's basically the little things that count to make the game more immersive and ...
