Erm...Thrill of the Fight says hello.
Oh dear, another one of these flame war, riling gamers up articles. I'm not even going to grab the popcorn (the popcorn grabs me).
Wake me up when it's over.
MS does not need these pat on the back type articles.
Well it's not just any guy tho. However, you are correct depending on how relevant you view Doc's opinion.
That thumbnail image bringing new meaning to the word "dickhead". LOL.
You need training.

In the words of a certain John McClane - Welcome to the party pal.
Not much fanfare for this, but could be a neat alternative to Payday games except Payday 3 comes this year.
If anyone can upgrade the engine then Crytek can. Good news anyway. Hunt looks pretty awesome anyway, but with UE5 a thing now Cryengine beginning to look dated perhaps?
I think the reception of HL:Alyx is more than just "good" is has been widely regarded and credited as one of the best VR games to-date. You are right though, it is one game and perhaps I was being somewhat melodramatic.
The onus is on the developers themselves. Take PC VR, did you guys know there is a chap called LukeRoss who does flatscreen to VR conversions using a gamepad not motion controls. Yeh, some circles might scoff and say gamepad is not proper VR, but many others would disagree. Giving some examples you can play Elden Ring in VR, Cyberpunk 2077 even Spider-Man. These are all AAA titles that the developers decided not to invest in VR for whatever reason. Yet a single person has managed to do it. ...
All that's needed now is for modders to model swap the standard nude male bot characters into these fine looking bot ladies and Atomic Heart becomes Atomic Smart.
N4G mods changed the thumbnail image. Says it all really.
I can't wait for the 6 hour scene with those twins.
Well Canada Amazon have sold out of their inventory via pre-orders alone. If history is anything to go by, then it will day one sell-out, and also be a scalper fest. It's the same with any new electronic device. Look at how the mega expensive RTX 4090 sold out. People were saying the same thing. "It's a niche card that no one can afford", and yet it sold-out day one. And now, there are manufactured stock shortages.
What's everyone's thoughts about whether this will be a scalpers fest, day one sell-out or readily available stock after launch day?
With Q2 though and a game like this, you should be able to do more theatrics due to the lack of concern over cables.
It's called VR training or VR legs and some software developer really needs to make a game about this to help people.
What is happening to you?
Your brain is being tricked into thinking the body is in motion, but it is not. You are sitting in front of a TV or standing/sitting with a VR headset on. The body's natural defence is to believe there is some alien entity inside you such as poison, so it reacts by making you sick. This is classic VR/Moti...
Seeing as they are using separate store fronts, why not have SONY enabled this now rather than as you suggest 6 months down the line. At least then, they can claim higher demand for it. Not sure what the stock levels will be like as of now but will be interesting to see if it sells out immediately.
I like what you wrote very much. But it's totally wishful thinking imo. I hope you are right though.
"but Quest 2 can't play games that came out on PSVR for the last 7 years like Hitman 3, Skyrim, Borderlands, LA Noire, etc. The tech has limits."
But nether can the PSVR 2...
Not natively but via the cable or via wireless play with a ~£700 medium spec PC (making the cost the same as a PSVR 2/PS5 combo) you can play all those games comfortably on Quest 2.
