Well he'll be comforting Phil somewhere. Remember, Phil is 'hurting' 🤣

You're likely quite right.

The company I used to work for recently went through 3 massive headcount reductions, and each time the head of HR got a promotion. It's quite perverse really.

Don't give him the option, just sack him. And I don't mean golden handshake type sacking, I mean you leave with nothing type sacking, like the average worker would get. Make him feel how the rest of us feel when we've lost our jobs.

It's already here and it was born before Xbox was even a thing. It's called PlayStation.

It wouldn't be at all surprising.

As myself and others have said, Microsoft doesn't care about the studios it eats, and it doesn't care about the people they employ. They want the IPs, that's all. They don't care about the fans either, they only care about the money the fans bring.

Poor Phil. He must be crying into his bonus cheques. Makes your heart bleed doesn't it?

141d ago 24 agree1 disagreeView comment

No, they really don't hurt him at all. He still gets his fat salary and fat bonus. What do those that lost their jobs get? A fat fuck all is what they get. People like Phil Spencer can't relate to normal working people. He'll never understand the worry those that have lost their jobs will feel due to no longer having an income, yet still having to pay bills and put food on the table. If ever Phil was given the boot, he'd get a golden handshake and will walk into another senior...

Microsoft doesn't care about the studios it absorbs, or the people for that matter. It's the IPs they want, nothing else.

Seems a lot of effort to see a bit of digital flesh.

Never did, never will.

My trust in the gaming industry as a whole is on shaky ground right now. It's going in a direction that I really don't like, with a push for digital only, live service games, the rise of AI and only small number of companies buying everything up, and then shutting studios down. It's in a terrible state right now.

Was thinking the same. If Hellblade 2 underperforms I wouldn't be surprised if they also suffer cuts.

Sony recently laid people off too. It's industry wide.

142d ago 1 agree10 disagreeView comment

Worst generation ever. I feel an industry crash incoming.

I do hope everyone affected by this finds work very soon. Sad times

Agree but gamers didn't ask for people to be out of work.

142d ago 9 agree30 disagreeView comment

How about no?

142d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

Doesn't matter how large or small. Don't buy them. Easy.

I've never supported MTs in any game, and I won't be starting now. Those who spend real money on useless cosmetic crap in their games are the ones to blame for this. It's easy money for the developers. They'd offer shit on a stick, call it a kebab and people would buy it.

142d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yup, it's absolutely Sony's fault.

142d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Bad take. You make out as though Sony walked it back out of the goodness of their hearts. They didn't. They did it to save face. Tough on them.

They're a corporation and like all corporations, they don't care about you, they care about their bottom line and their image. Don't do them any favours.

142d ago 6 agree4 disagreeView comment

Nope. Those bad reviews are justified. Sony didn't change their minds 'for the players' they did so because of the negative publicity. So no, the negative review can stay.
