No GTA was a bigger disappoint to me, but at least there was Watch Dogs, which could be great and actually have a good/interesting multiplayer, unlike GTA.
The 360 has been winning so far, simply due to having the best software. There still isn't a great PS3 exclusive FPS or WRPG that I want to play on it. I own all three systems and haven't turned on my PS3 or Wii since spring. However, next year the PS3 seems to have a better lineup than the 360 and of course Wii.
It's seems like good dumb fun... it's the anti-Limbo.
I can understand why people are sensitive to it, but I'm fine with it. Weren't we playing as terrorists in Modern Warfare's multiplayer? I'm pretty sure, but they didn't call them the Taliban. At least this is somewhat debatable, the Mafia II being racist controversy is idiotic.
The article itself mentions what if Black Ops and MOH came from the same publisher. I'm assuming the reason these two games were chosen was because they are from Sony. Not to say the writer is an Xbot. I'll agree that R2 and KZ2 are similar and competing for the same audience. I didn't get the feeling that the entire article was saying "OMG Sony is going to release them on same day", but a 4 month gap isn't big enough for casual gamers. Not to mention, Sony's ret...
Well... sometimes you have to use an unholy amount of minerals/gas and have a lot of space marines die before you get to that point. At least that's what the military seems to think.
It's definitely Mass Effect 2 for me, it's my GOTY for any console right now... with Red Dead close behind.
The barrier of entry for this game seems a bit too high for me. It's not really a question of skills, it's more that I don't have the time to learn it enough to compete with extremely hardcore players... Korean or otherwise. If I was 14 years old with no job or anything, then sure.
I think it's mainly people trying to waste time at work. I hope most people don't have bad enough taste to play those games at home.
I agree to an extent. Software matters, hardware not so much, since the weakest systems keeping selling the most. Exclusives make the software, if MS maintains their exclusives like Mass Effect, GEOW, etc as exclusives, then they're fine. However, if they're only signing timed exclusivity then they're done for. I'll assume MS is smart enough to make them permanently exclusive.
I'm sure it will have some hardcore games. I would be shocked if Fable 3 didn't have any functionality with Kinect.
She actually seems fairly smart, but I hope she doesn't want to be taken seriously if she's taking pictures like that. Slutty persona + professionalism don't mix... look at Jessica Chobot.
If it stopped last gen then this would be a legendary series, now it has turned bland and generic... similar to what EA did to Medal of Honor.
I wanted to like LBP, but the actual gameplay was shallow. It was definitely more flash than substance. It would be cool if they added sword combat and actual vehicle controls to go with the platforming. Strictly jumping doesn't work in today's world, even if you can create the level. If you want to do level design that badly just go buy a PC game that has a level editor, which is any major one.
It's weird to look at a huge company like Best Buy as the "little guy" or even the good guy. However, GameStop is a monopoly that needs competition. That of course will be good for us, since that will bring better prices on used games and things of that nature.
The game sounds pretty good so far. The story for GOW3 was very disappointing, even though the gameplay was great. Hopefully this game will have a cool and unique story... which is rare for games.
If I said the review was "all negative", you'd be right, but I said it wasn't all positive, which is a fact since the writer named 4 or 5 minor problems. Many of the reviews I read made the game sound like it was perfect, without even minor flaws at all.
I'm sure Killzone will be popular, but not more than GTA 4. Since GTA 4 will probably have more copies sold on 360 than Killzone will on the PS3. Not to mention the DLC will probably be less than half the price of Killzone and be marketed more. I would be more surprised if the DLC didn't outsell Killzone than if it did. You can't count out that GTA is a brand, everyone knows what it is like Mario or Madden; outside of hardcore gamers not many know about Killzone.
Having Prototype and Infamous over Heavy Rain and Alan Wake seems random to me. Prototype looks generic and Infamous just seems like Spiderman and Crackdown with electricity. At least they had Madworld in a high position, it seems like a very unique IP. Brutal Legend at number 1, really?
Team deathmatch doesn't usually have objectives besides kill the other team. A big part of Splinter Cell multiplayer is going after objectives while trying to not get your neck broken nor get shot, so it's not a deathmatch. By that logic CTF, domination, king of the hill, etc are all TDM too, which is silly.
