Wow the hypocrisy, Microsoft is bragging about sales and you’re also here yet you’re here talking down people for doing EXACTLY the same thing you and Microsoft are doing. Just wow...
Ah, I know from all the talk of Microsoft should buy this and that you guys have no idea how business and money works. So let me remind you revenu is not profit. A company could have 3.9 billion in revenue and not make a profit.
I’d like to remind you that experts have all come to the conclusion the the X is being sold at a loss, and it will take years to profit after R&D and manufacturing costs.
Wow the spin.
I guess they can’t tell the truth that they got outsold by both PS4 and Switch in both NA and globally so they had to make up a new category. I love the way they pretend the original Xbox doesn’t even exist anymore.
Oh well enjoy the small victories seeing as PS4 Pro outsold the X in January. And of course the PS4 and the Switch will outsell Xbox globally every single month just like every year.
Also gotta love how quic...
It's pretty much an MMO minus any end game content, leveling, dungeons, gear, monster variety interesting landmarks etc.
Basically it's an big empty MMO with nothing to do.
It wasn't ahead of it's time, it was a bad idea then and it's still a bad idea.
The problem was they tried to take away ownership, something they are still unfortunately pushing for.
It reminds me a lot of Bethesda's paid mods. People rejected it but Bethesda said they were still going to do it, much like Microsoft said after they removed always online from the Xbox. Cut to a few years later Bethesda added paid mods just like as time goes on Microsoft will continue to remove ownership until they get what they have wanted from the beginning a digit...
"Those mods clearly have an agenda to fulfill, they’re weird like that. "
A more true statement is rarely made on this site.
Do you understand that EA is a publicly traded company? And that Microsoft's wealth isn't all in cash this "trillion" includes all of their investments stock wealth buildings hardware ect.
It's clear every time you guys say something like this that you have ABSOLUTELY no idea what your talking about.
This whole "Microsoft should buy" conversation has become the new "wait till E3". Except this is way stupider and shows people lack of understanding about how business works.
Perhaps just being multi-player doesn't make a game good? Perhaps there needs to be more things to do than just repeating the same few things over and over? Perhaps having some sort of narrative provides that and keeps players engaged?
@Jinger
You can buy Repro Nes systems like Retrons.
Zero of the games I bought are on game pass. So i guess your wrong.
Who pays $60 for games? I pay about $45 with free shipping with Best Buy Gamers Club. And on top of that during Black Friday last year I got 11 retail games most that launched in 2017 for around $100. I now own them I can play them for the month after I buy them and in ten years if I want to play them again I can.
This is about moving toward a non-ownership future. It just happens to be Microsoft who is pushing it.
You can dig though my comment history and see where I have said the same thing about PSNow
@spartan112g
Why would you even bring up Amazon Prime they both have a very similar list and both of them combined don't even host 1% of all movies made.
I mean... did you actually think that was a clever reply? All it really shows it how little understanding you have of the situation.
5$ is a dream...
The prices haven't risen on games because publishers don't want to charge more, it's been the competition from resale that has kept the price down. As soon as there is only digital the price will skyrocket as there is no competition and the publishers will just agree to raise prices.
My first cable bill was $19.99 now it's around $60 and the same with internet. The people who want this digital future are the same peopl...
What if you want to watch a movie that's not on Netflix?
I own over a thousand games on various platforms dating back to before Atari, I am not going to trade that for 100 games I can only play for as long as some company lets me.
I can play Zelda on NES right now and I don't have to pay a cent.
I guess after Forza got out sold massively by GT Sport and they got outsold more than 3:1 in software last year they got desperate to hide software sales along with console sales. I guess more reports of bullets fired and log ins will be reported since they are too scared to report actual numbers.
It is comical... They in reality still got outsold during the holidays by both the Switch and PS4, that’s why they had to make up a category of “premium” console.
